First, for those who may not know, Rethelshi no longer provides the upgrades for Primal gear: you need to go to the Valor upgrader in Valdrakken.
HOWEVER, going there with my Breastplate of Raging Tempests (Upgrade Level 1/2) and 10 Storm Sigils, I’m told “This item cannot be upgraded.”

This is what I need to make this week. I really hope if this is bugged they get it fixed. They don’t fix it for individuals though, when it is fixed it will be fixed for all of us at once.
I HATE … patches now! I was waiting for the ‘Vault’ gear, then I would upgrade my storm storm sigil gear. NO warning in the patch notes NOTHING! I am really hating this expanse. What would be the point of this? Please tell me.
This just happened to me. earlier today I had 9 sigil so I couldn’t upgrade the primal helmet and I just finished the new storm event have enough tokens now it says I cannot upgrade it even though it said I could this morning I just didn’t have enough currency at the time.
Same issue, Both storm belt and bracers I get the message “This item can no longer be upgraded”. And on my shaman, When trying to upgrade her axes, I was getting a different message. Now Im getting this one on it. Its like they disabled it for some reason, Maybe to fix?
Have no issues when inserting other pieces of gear, Seems to be only Storm gear and PVP gear from what Im seeing.
From a blue post “Primal Storms gear obtained at level 70 prior to this patch will still be upgradeable.” Wrong, i’ve got two pieces of gear i’ve had a week before patch, went to the NEW upgrade NPC and was basicly told to go get bent. Blizz really needs to stop fixing s**t that wasn’t broken.
Primal storm gear, raging tempest items, don’t seem to be upgrade-able from the base level 359 to 385 at the old NPC Rethelshi, or the new NPCS Corxian or Revival catalyst providing upgrades. Can use Revival catalyst to upgrade the 385 raging tempest items, but still have many alts with lower level 359 raging tempest pieces needing upgrades. This has got to be a bug. Like many I’ve farmed the sigils and bought the 359 set anticipating being able to make them the new tier level… and nope.
The bloody token gear AND the Elemental Overflow gear cannot be upgraded at this NPC for me. My Honor and Conquest gear can howerver. Something seems very broken.
New NPC isn’t allowing upgrades on the blue Primal gear at all. Not stuff I had prior to the patch, and not on the piece I just bought.
Bugs are one thing, but this is a major patch feature that’s completely broken, on top of awful communication. C’mon.

I collected the entire set of Raging gear just so I could upgrade them using the Sigils. But now they “can no longer be upgraded” according to the Cauk Blocker Corxian.
Why did I even waste my time? And where was this dumb idea written in the patch notes?!? I sure as hell didn’t see it.
And they aren’t technically upgrades. They are new pieces of armor with different names and everything. So, how would Corxian even “upgrade” them to an item with a new name?

Just bought a fresh 359 rank 1/2, i have 13 storm sigils , and yup “This item can no longer be upgraded”.
This is also after there 1 hr maintainence.
Hopefully its fixed soon.
Oh and also i upgrade a piece hours earlier in the day and it worked fine.
Same issue primal storm sigil gear can not be upgraded…
What was wrong with how it was. Why “fix” something that wasn’t broken to begin with…
I use the 385 to gear my alts, and fill in pieces on my mains… why would blizz remove this?? if this is intended, then why would anyone give a rats a$$ about the primal storms anymore. Blizz may as well remove those as well
After waiting for the hour maintenance window to finish(1/25/2023), I logged on and got the sigils that I needed to upgrade my shoulders or boots and yet to find out that the NPC has changed and that I can’t upgrade at the new NPC even though I meet all the requirements besides the Blizzard bug requirement. Please fix.
