I was not able update wow in the app. And I have reinstalled the app. I unistalled wow. I cannot install the game.
Error I am getting is this "Something went wrong with a file. We’re not sure what caused it, so please try againb or click the code below for more information. Sorry about that!. (Code is BLZBNTAGT00000840)
Have you tried rebooting your computer since reinstalling the App?
Click Options under the WoW Banner on the app’s game page, click Check for Updates near the bottom of the new menu pops up, see if that helps.

When I had problems like that, in Windows before I got rid of it with the Burning Crusade expansion, what fixed it was usually:
Highlighting the folder Wow is in
Making it read/write anyone.
I had the same thing happen a couple of times after switching to Linux, where I then used the command to do the same thing in that.
What was happening was that, for some reason, wow/your computer set the folder permissions so the patcher could not overwrite them; So it only gets barely into it and then stalls.
Not sure if that is your problem, but I’d check. It would sometimes happen with a new patch.
The Blizzard Update Agent couldn’t modify necessary files on your hard drive. This usually happens when the required files are locked or in use by another program. Follow the steps below to resolve the issue. Restart your computer to ensure that a part of the game is not open in the background.
Or it might be as simple as some of the stuff still running (Agent.exe, battlenet, etc.) which needs to be stopped/killed before attempting again.
or it is your virus program, like McCraffy.
Mentions the “folder ownership” thing, as well as the virus thing.
