My friends and guildmates have recently switched servers (on Tuesday this week) from Thalnos to Netherwind. During this time I was not playing the game so was unable to switch myself. I thought this would not be a large issue and would switch this weekend when I was given the time to do so. However the Netherwind server transfer is no longer being offered and I am stuck, alone, on the Thalnos server.
I have put in a ticket with Blizzard however this is what the GM Thuz has sent me can be seen below. > Hello Dan,

I wish I could come by with some better news. Transfers are not something we can start from our end. If the option is no longer being granted, due to the realm no longer being full, there is no way to transfer. I hate to put it that way since your friends have transferred.
Please make sure to post on the Classic forums with your feedback about the free migrations. Our developers need to hear your feedback about Classic to ensure its success.

I have been a faithful blizzard customer for the past 20 years. I have spent thousands of dollars on your software. I have never once required something out of the ordinary from the company.
For the game to take days of my life that I will never get back is not acceptable in this situation.
Blizzard, is this really how you are going to treat a faithful customer after all this time?

It is absolutely unreasonable to invoke a free server switch with absolutely no timeline or indication of when that transfer will end or change. World of warcraft is a game based on social connections and blizzard has completely removed this from Louzas experience and his friends. At least you could have given us options so that if one was full we could choose an alternative for all of our group. Please reconsider his application for a transfer.
This is a really crappy situation.
With the queues initially from so much classic wow hype, my friends all struggled to get on the same server and nobody wants to re roll after already committing so much time to their character. Now with the server transfers not being locked to one server I have friends playing on 4 different servers.
My classic wow experience feels like it’s coming to an end with these frustrations.

Sorry but I finally get it, when I see that post and I have zero sympathy for that person posting it. This is that scenario for me now. Sorry, I know it is really low of me to take pleasure from your dissatisfaction but I will contemplate the implications of my behavior later.
For now I will take sweet satisfaction from knowing someone from Thalnos had to reroll to play on Nether and bathe in the tears of the dissatisfied.
I won’t be re rolling, if I am unable to transfer my character I will be cancelling my subscription.

This is what I really don’t want to happen. Mass people just saying screw it and just quitting all together.
Classic as a game is awesome but man some customer service aspects are missing.
People should be able to switch from 1 server to the next for free, even if they want to go from lowest pop to faerlina.
You could not take a few minutes just to transfer your character?
I find that hard to believe.
I agree this is a crappy situation and there should be some form of customer support in this situation. I see good reason for a cancelled sub as it seems you are busy IRL and Blizzard can’t accommodate you with what time you have to log on to play where you want.
The entire server issues were massively mishandled and I can’t fathom anyone asking people to re-roll or to be happy on just any ole server.

You should see the endless messages back and forth between me and Blizz!!! It eventually came down to me getting upset, basically calling them out on their screw up, and telling them they are just going to push one added longtime blizz customer/supporter from the game a long with all of the people who left because of the drama with China. Politics are whatever but this should be an outrage!! This is totally unacceptable and terrible business. As Mafood stated not having a timeline or telling your customers the full plan on the “fix” of BLIZZARDS messup with the servers is unreasonable. Timelines should have been POSTED in the game client. I have a level 30 warrior stuck in Earthfury that I put HOURS into because blizzard randomly changed which server characters from Thalnos go to. This is TERRIBLE, TERRIBLE business on Blizzards part and at this point I feel like they are just TRYING to get rid of lifelong customers for whatever reason. The game just isn’t fun to me when I’m not in the same server as my friends on Netherwind.
It’s sad because WoW could be such a good game but Blizz just has no care for their customers whatsoever.
