I’ve been away from the game for about 2 year now, I can no longer tame a new hunter pets.
As per what was/is know about pet taming:
- Have free slot to Call Pet
- Dismiss current pet
- Get rid of intrusive bodyguard from guild house
- Click the Tame Button to try to tame a new pet.
This ‘should’ work, and does for the first few seconds. I start the taming process, and my new target is going to resist for the 5-10 seconds or so that it will take for my will to overcome theirs.
Unfortunately, my previously dismissed pet comes back and starts fighting the one I’m trying to tame.
This breaks the taming process and I have to fight the creature.
I’ve tried this multiple times, for some reason, my dismissed pet keeps getting summoned the moment I am hit and/or in combat. I’ve searched around the forums. I’ve seen others complain about it, but there is no resolution given.
Tame Pet should work as described, but no longer does… any recently dismissed pet will come back to fight. Short of stabling every single pet I have, I don’t have an resolution for this.
