I am curious about the starting level. The game forced me into starting at level 80. I created 3 characters and had the same issue with each one. My husband created his new character at level 1.
Anyone else having a similar issue??
are you selecting [create new character] option under the list of characters, or the one that says [create template character] that is to the left of the character standing in the middle of the screen?

The initial interface is confusing, I thought the same thing at first, but click “create new character” and you can create a level 1.
I used “create new character” and didn’t used the template option. I tried it 3 different times with the same outcome.
Very confusing…
