If I type “/s Hello” “Hello” will pop up above my character, but nothing will show in the chat window. The same is true for reputation gains, etc.
I don’t, and have never used add-ons. This seems to be specific to my druid, other characters are able to see chat. I believe this is new since 9.1.5.
If you right click on your chat window tab (General) click Settings in the drop-down menu and see what player message types are checked. They may have been unchecked by accident. You can click the Chat Defaults button to restore everything. This is retail though, not sure if you’re having this problem in Classic.
