Cannot Queue for Specific Dungeon

My guild has encountered an issue with dungeon finder all of us are able to reproduce. When a user attempts to queue for specific dungeons while in a group, they are presented with an “!” triangle above each role selection informing them “Role unavailable for some dungeons”.

Steps to reproduce the issue:

  1. Invite someone to party (tested in groups of 2, 3, and 4)
  2. Open “Group Finder”
  3. Click the “Dungeon’s & Raid” tab.
  4. Select “Dungeon Finder”
  5. Change the dropdown to “Specific Dungeons”
  6. Check any available Normal Dungeon (for example, “The Necrotic Wake”)
  7. Observe the “!” triangle warnings above every role.
  8. Check any role.
  9. Observe “Join as Party” button remains disabled.

Most recent test on a lvl 60 blood elf paladin, 158 ilvl. Group member was lvl 60 undead mage, 151 ilvl. I think this is going under-reported since specific dungeon queueing works fine solo, but is quite game breaking for groups trying to do dungeon quests. It’s worth noting that lvl 50 characters in a group queueing for BFA dungeons do not experience this issue.

Unsuccessful attempted fixes:

  • Cleared WTF folder
  • Disabled all addons
  • /reload on UI
  • Relogging

Still unable to queue for specific Shadowlands dungeons while in a group of level 60s. Tested 11/26, 11/27, 11/28, and 11/29.

I had the same issue and I’ve been able to work around it somewhat. For me, I could queue solo, but not with a group because I got the “roles unavailable” indicator and the join button was greyed out. What I did is queue solo with whatever role I was running, then invited my group members real quick to join me. At that point, it should prompt them to pick a role for the dungeon and we were able to queue. Sad that its still not working, but at least we were able to queue with the work around.
