I am attempting to promote a new Guild Master. Using my character (current Guild Master) to right click the name of the Guild Member and selecting Promote to Guild Master. I then confirm that I do want to execute the action. The other member does not receive notification and the promotion is not executed. The members are cross-realm.

As i commented in another post:
Same problem here.
Have toons in Realm A and Realm B, both in same guild same faction.
Cant’ tranfer GM from toon in Realm A to toon in Realm B.
Don’t known if it’s a bug or is working as intended.
I think it is a bug because guild transfer service is retired, so there must be a way to transfer guild owner between realms.

Is this intended? I’m having the same issue as the OP.
New gm needs to be on guild server.
