I give up.
To compound the issue of not being able to get a covenant started or a flightmaster in Oribos, they had to put part of the quest chain from the Anniversary detective quests in Ardenweald. Standing here in Oribos where there should be a flightmaster and watching all of the other players take-off on everwyrms. Map shows flightmaster icon, no NPCs at location.

yeah this quest is really buggy in general. I did the SL questline in its entirety and the npc isn’t even at the amphitheater for me
It can be done on a different character and goes towards getting credit for the achievements.

thank you for the tip. after hopping thru a few characters I managed to find one where they are actually visible
My wife did do shadowlands, all the same quests as me. I can get to Dapperdew and turn in the quest. Dapperdew is not visible for her. We are once again, live bug testers.
FIX THIS!!! This is a major problem with shadowlands and why everyone hates it in general. As a player that came back to the game just at start of TWW this almost made me unsub. I just wanted the Dark Ranger skin. Thankfully I completed that right as I came back. FIXXX THISS!!!
Yesterday, when that part of the Secret Finding event was first active, the portals at the Anniversary event itself lead you to the Shadowlands. One specifically lead you to Ardenweald.
While this does not help today, since it appears that the portals have shifted to Dragon Isles, it could be something to keep in mind for the future: look around for alternative paths to the areas we need to visit. It helps a ton when bugs may otherwise block the obvious path.
