I’ve been trying to post to my new guild chat. But it will NOT send. The only way I can talk to my guild is if I open the Guild window and type in THAT guild chat. I’ve disabled all my addons for chat, did the /reset chat command, exited the game, restarted my computer, just about anything and everything and I STILL cannot use /guild to talk to my guild in normal chat.
Have you done a / reload ui?
I did and it did not change a thing. Ive tried:
- Disabling all chat addons
- /resetchat
- /reload ui
- reatarting the game
- restarting the computer
- turning guild chat on and off
- creating a new window specifically for guild chat
- tested /say, /yell and emote and they all work.
I have tried everything i can think of shy of uninstalling and reinstalling WoW.
Ok , please don’t be insulted by this next question, but I need to cover everything no matter how pithy . This is ’ your new guild" so I am going to assume you are GM. I think the guild settings for rank permissions are in the roster tab ( I don;t remember exactly how the ui opens , but i remember it’s in roster somewhere) have you set your rank permissions yet ? This usually includes the ability to talk in gchat,
Dont worry, not offended. And I’m a new member, not the GM. The odd part is, I can post to the guild chat through the Guild and Communities window but not the regular chat window. Thats what’s so odd aboit this whole problem.
Just in case , ask if members your rank have permission to speak. I usually had a problem with gchat joining guilds, but most times a restart fixed it for me.
Are you using ElvUI by any chance? I’ve had this issues with guild chat since downloading it (but I don’t know how to fix it, sorry )
