Every time my alt Undead Warrior tries to hit someone with his sword it either misses, dodges, or parries, meanwhile they land every attack against him…
Is this to be expected at lower levels, and if so, how are you supposed to gain levels if you cannot ever land a hit??
Thanks in advance!!
May need to train your weapon by using it.
Could a couple things:
Look into your weapon skill. If it’s not maxed out, that’s part of it.
Also any +hit gear you can find will help greatly!
This def sounds like a bug and should be reported. You’ll never get past level 1 if you can’t ever land a hit.
Unless you’re exaggerating and you can land hits. Are you still level 1 with 0 exp?
what were you using before the sword?
Equip it and see if you land hits.
I did FINALLY make it to level 10, but was forced to go back to Deathknell, and fight low level mobs until reaching it…
As far as my weapon skill goes, that is new to me, having just started messing with Classic WOW, but another issue I am having is that almost all of the available quests expect you to kill a certain number of mobs, in a certain area, and being the jerks that they are, Blizzard has it setup that you can almost NEVER fight a single mob at once, and HAVE to get banked 3 - 5 on one to get every kill, which is terribly frustrating when you cannot seem to ever land a blow on anything, but again they always hit you. As well, I am not clear how to gain weapon skill honestly, as I very rarely get a level with a weapon, no matter how much fighting i do.
Continuing with this note, on the quests that expect you to gather something from quest mobs, it seems that only 1 out of every 10 you do manage to kill actually drops the item.
I also noticed that you cannot even herb a basic herb like Peacebloom anymore without getting several failed attempts before actually getting the herb.
This all leads me to ask WHY did Blizzard decide to make classic so ridiculously hard to play?? I mean nothing works anymore!!
Use your critical thinking skills and solve the problems presented to you.
Level your weapon skill on lower leveled mobs.
Aggro radius pull to avoid multiple monsters instead of body pulling.
Once you get higher skill leveled in tradeskills your attempts fail much less.
sigh Go away, troll.
In the beginnings, I recommend not fighting mobs higher lvl than you as a warrior. Fighting mobs your lvl and below will increase you hit chance. A big factor in that is your weapon skill. Is it a 1h sword or 2h? And what is your weapon skill for that?
Why are you exaggerating and blatantly lying about the experience?
You’re talking about a level 1-10 undead warrior doing the starting area quests and claiming you miss every swing and mobs hit every time. I have one of every class to higher than 10, and not a single one of them ever had it be that bad.
Leaving the starting zone, the mobs are well spread EXCEPT if you run in blindly without any sense of what’s around you. If you’re always pulling 3-5 (and dying), it’s PEBKAC not the game.
Why is WOW Classic so hard? Because you’re setting unrealistic expectations. (I’m not even going to say RETAIL expectations, because good grief, even a Retail player knows better.)
Your character is learning how to do something they aren’t proficient at, and are experiencing some failures along the way.
Kind of like this thread.
Classic has a base level of difficulty. If you cannot get past the starting zone this may not be the best game for you because it does not get easier from here.
@ Ashock
Why am I a troll exactly, or are you just trolling the forums looking for something rude to say??
@ Aedmon
Kind of like this thread?? What is that supposed to mean??
I swear, I sometimes HATE to post anything here, because of all the people who seem to LIVE to insult other posters…
I really cannot understand why you cannot just provide some assistance, and save your ignorant comments, keeping them to yourselves. If you have nothing helpful to add, then skip this thread altogether, even if you are a WOW Master, which I am happy for you about!!
Because you’re being dishonest.
@ Glaive
Being dishonest?? Again, another rude, and completely unhelpful comment…
I swear, I am starting to HATE posting anything here, because of all the mean spirited people who respond to anything you ask!!
Fight mobs lower level than you until you get some hit gear. Misses, dodges, and parries are part of the melee game.
@Aruk
That is what I have been doing, but was hoping for some advice on how to limit the number of times i make a useless attack on a mob…
Instead, of course, all I get is attacked by all of the WOW Superheroes, who seem to get some ,ind of thrill out of going on the offensive for no good reason, every time you ask about anything!!
You created an undead character with no eyes, didn’t you. That could be the issue.
Hit gear is the only option; but really if you’re attacking -2 or -3 level mobs you won’t miss much at all, assuming weapon skills are capped.
attack from the rear when you can. reduces the chance to miss.
