Whenever I try to join the anniversary BG Korrak’s Revenge it just gives me a “Join as group failed” error even though I’m not in a group.
Edit: Looks like this has been patched but will require overnight restarts:

I’m receiving the same error message. I think it’s addon related but I cannot figure out which one is blocking it.
Same. The only addon I have running right now is DBM though.

Receiving this same error message on all toons (same with 3 other guildies) whether in a group or not in a group. Submitted a bug report ticket. Unable to find any official statement from Blizz for NA regarding this issue.

I have no addons running and can’t queue.
Same error. I have the SL expac and run no add ons.
Even stranger, my characters from another server can join, but none of them from this server can.
maybe some leftover code from battlegroups then? or maybe can you confirm was your bugged characters on a merged server cluster? are the non broken characters on a non merged server? (talking recent merges, not the ones from mop)
im on a recent merger and it doesnt work.
Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be due to an add on, I logged onto my mage on hydraxis after alt hopping over and over to see if any of them could queue, and he was able to! I promptly switched back to the alt I had been talking to players in world chat trying to solve the mystery, but after I explained what I did to them and switched back to my alt on hydraxis I got the “failed to join as group” message again. Please fix this Blizzard, it’s a limited time event.
Might be battlegroup/server specific then.
I know its just a small amount of data, but on my Zul’Jin characters (this Shaman included), a Warlock, and Pally, all level 50, I couldn’t Join. As far as I know, no Merger.
However, on my level 50 Pally on Stormscale, I may get an error “Joined as group failed” and I may simply get nothing and queue with no problem. I believe Stormscale did get a Merger recently (last few months)
On Burning Legion, I tried to queue with my level 50 Mage, level 50 Druid, level 50 DK, level 50 DH, and level 46 Warrior. On all these characters I got the “joined as group failed” error and couldn’t queue. Burning Legion did get a Merger recently (last few months).
I am sure it is not as simple as my small amount of Data is showing. What I am seeing though is that the error appears to happen across realms, but is only effecting either some servers/battlegroups to never be able to queue. I am hesitant to believe it is account specific if one of my characters on a different server is able to queue, but my other characters are unable to.
Yep. This is what’s weird for me. My alt on moonguard from tbc can queue. My mains on ED & auhcindoun can’t.
Edit: Dates created + Can / Can’t queue.
Wotlk & later - Created Alts&Main on Emerald Dream can’t queue. (Horde & Alliance.)
wotlk - Cata / Later created Alts&Main on Laughing Skull, Cho’gall, & Auhcindoun can’t Queue. (Horde & Alliance.)
Vanilla created alt on Arthas can’t queue. (Horde.)
Vanilla created alt on Staghelm can’t queue. (Alliance.)
TBC created alt on Balnazzar can’t queue. (Alliance.)

??? No pattern. The only character I can queue on is alliance.

It’s happening to me as well. Have there been any blue posts on this at all? This seems like a widespread issue and a potential BIG deal.
