Cannot interact with objects, NPCs in Helheim, Legion

I’m questing in Legion on my dark iron dwarf demonology warlock Revna.

I’m at the part where you enter Helheim and need to escape.

I cannot free anyone from cages for the quest “An Unworthy Task”. When I approach the cage, the cursor turns into an interactive hand and highlights in yellow, suggesting I can open the cage, but then an error message says I need to be closer.

There’s an NPC near the entrance for repairs or to buy/sell goods. My cursor changes when I’m near them to suggest I’m close enough to interact, but when I right click on them to shop/sell, nothing happens. If I left click on them, they say their default messages, but I otherwise can’t interact.

Strangely, I CAN kill enemy NPCs. However my primary demon (Felguard) is also stuck at the entrance and not following me. It’s only wild imps or dreadstalkers or other temporary demons that join in fighting.

Edit: Another update -

As an update, I reported my character “stuck” and they teleported me to a graveyard in Westfall. I was able to mount finally, so I flew to Stormwind, however there were no NPCs or any other players in there, and I couldn’t talk in trade chat. I used my hearthstone back to Legion Dalaran, where I could see other players and NPCs, and I could finally mount, however my demons still don’t follow me and I cannot see the portal to my Warlock zone.

The game is effectively unplayable for my warlock character at the moment. Hopefully we can get this fixed soon as I’m hoping to level them to 50 before Shadowlands.

What level is your warlock? There are a number of places in Legion where lower levels are (or were) unable to interact with what should be clickable objects.

I also have the same thing happening to me. Level 40 Death Knight. I was queued for a dungeon when I entered Helheim, don’t know if that would have an effect on anything.

EDIT: After logging into another character for about an hour this issue has resolved itself.

Level 47 Paladin. Exact same thing. Tried logging in and out, /reload, and exiting, killing WoW and going back into the game. Nothing, can’t even interact with the 2 vendors at the start.

Decided after seeing this threat that something was up, so I just Hearthed to Dalaran to do something else… but now I can’t interact with anything there either, and none of the portal are present.

So… Blizz… wtF?

Edit: And I just logged out and disabled all my Add-ons, now things are interactable… So maybe try that if you’re having issue.
