I finished the delve on tier 8 and used the copter bot to return to the entrance. But when I run up to the entrance doorway, I’m not given the dialog box to exit. I was trapped in the delve. I had to use my hearthstone to get out.

Did you try clicking the door? It has always been an option, just like clicking the doors to enter is an option (if you happen to be by the door and closed the initial dialog, or are just entering Zekvir’s delve in general).

How about the fact (for me at least) that no map for “The Writhing Fields” exists. You’re given the Ringing Deeps map or Undermine, not this “Portion” of it.
Excavation Site 9 is a bountiful delve today and I had to use the process of elimination from which others were active as Bountifuls to be able to guess if this one is or isn’t. I flew all the way to the Delve to confirm.
You cannot see the Delve from regular Navigation Maps in the User Interface. Unless I have a UI issue that is prohibiting that or blocking it somehow, this sure seems like a bug.
This worked, didn’t even know it was a thing because normally you just walk up to the barrier.
Yeah I’ve heard that a decent bit. I learned in beta they were clickable during the leveling campaign because I accidentally closed the dialog window a few times after walking up.
Simply right click on your own unit frame (your avatar + HP mp bar) , select “leave delves”
