Currently leveling in Northrend at level 13, getting green items from quests (and one blue from a dungeon) and realized I couldn’t disenchant them. The items just say “Cannot be disenchanted”. This doesn’t seem intentional, as you could generally DE gear that was green or higher.

This also happened to me and a friend; we were in Chromie Time for WotLK. I was able to Disenchant BoE’s from BFA at level Enchanting 1, but not Northrend items. I had Northrend Enchanting too.

Same with me and Burning Crusade. I can DE vanilla items, but all Outland items it says I cannot disenchant. I have Outland enchanting
Having the same problem on my leveling Priest. Started in WoD and can’t DE anything from there. Moved to Pandaria at 35ish and have been able to DE all MoP stuff just fine. Weird.
I am affected by this as well. I am at level 20 and none of the BfA gear that I have acquired so far is disenchantable. All of the Exiles Reach gear was. This blocks me from leveling enchanting.
Hate to necro, but is this still an issue for anyone else? I just came back to the game, am leveling a vulpera in shadowlands, but none of the quest rewards Ive gotten are disenchantable. Now, my higher level demon hunter doesnt have this issue, but my little fox guy does.
Yes. It’s probably a deliberate and intended change. However, with the way the product is managed by the development and QA teams, it could just as well be a bug that they’ve been notified of and haven’t bothered fixing for over 2 years.
