I can not delete Character Specific Layout(s). The only option is “copy layout”.
I wish to delete these layouts, how can I go about doing this?
I have read through google, reddit, and the forums here with no solution.

You could edit the one you want to change… Make it for all? Or just move something and save.
You would need to select a different one to delete that one you edited.
Then try to delete it.
Confirming this is happening for others, myself included.

Any news on a fix?
getting the same problem, some kinda bug duplicated the layout 4 times and i cant delete these extras now

Hello, i was having the same issue. I had created 5 character specific layouts on 1 charzcter copying the account wide layout i had created before realizing i had to create a character specific layout per each individual character. They only showed copy layout and did not have the option to delete but i was able to fix the issue. Do the following. In the battle.net application next to the play button click the settings icon then select show in explorer. Once the wow folder is open follow this path. retail > WTF > Account > Account name > Server name > Character folder and delete “edit-mode-cache-character”. Your account wide layout will be saved in the acct name folder under the server name. I would attach screenshots if i could. You’re more than welcome to reach out on battle.net for help or for proof

I am experiencing the same problem. I would hate to think the devs forgot to put this feature into the game since Dragonflight.
this is been an ongoing issue for a lot of ppl , sadly no fix yet.
Indeed, deleting the “edit-mode-cache-character” files is only a temporary fix. It just clears all current character specific layouts. As soon as you create new ones, there’s still no option to remove them in-game.
Yeah it’s rather annoying.
Especially if you got OCD and made a typo on the name, it’s triggering everytime I see it lol

Reporting in to confirm that this is still a bug in November.
The only way I was able to remove HUD layouts was to go into the WTF folder and delete them myself, as Dabull said above. It’s not a game-breaking issue, but it would be nice to be able to delete them in-game. IIRC this was still possible back during DF Season 3.
