Cannot Create Any Macros

Newish player here just getting into Macros.

So, I cannot create any macros at all. When I click on game menu then Macros everything looks normal. When I select an icon and change name, nothing appears in the preview box (I thought this was normal). I kept going and typed in the macro and hit save. Nothing saves or pops up in my list as an icon I can click on or anything. I was thinking it was an addon issue so i uninstalled all the ones I use and I still have the same problem.

Anyone know of a fix?

Only non-addon thing I know of that causes that behavior is being in combat.

Could also see if errors are being triggered

So i typed that in and it randomly started working. I have no idea what was wrong. had been fighting with them for 2-3 weeks.
