After turning in a quest at a quest giver, I could not click on them again to receive the next quest. I had to run away from them and run back to be able to open the dialogue window. I have all addons disabled.

This has been ongoing for years. I’m just so used to it.
Weird, just started for me after the patch.

I have this same issue on every single NPC in the undermine. I’ve seen it happen before, but not this excessively.
Yeah, it is higher than normal for sure. But, it hasn’t been every single NPC for me.

I just reset all my settings to default in the options menu and the windows seem to be popping up again.
I have used Dialogue UI in the past, maybe that has something to do with it because it hides the default Blizzard UI for quest givers. I was no longer running it, but maybe some settings were left disabled after removal.
It’s been an ongoing issue for me for a long while. Dragonflight feels like it kicked up a notch when it comes to frequency, and it’s still happening at about the same frequency (for me) with this expansion and recent patch.
It’s still a bug, so I’m not complaining about you reporting it. Just adding my voice to the chorus of “It would be nice if whatever causes this issue were resolved.” That said, at least the solution of “walk away a few feet and come back” is relatively simple. It’s just irritating.
It happens occasionally, but it’s been taken to a whole new level with this patch.
Oddly, the quest giver stays selected, even if you select your self or something else.
