Cannot boot with failed cloned NVMe

My new 970 EVO NVMe M.2 wasn’t cloning kept getting error message right at the start. So I thought maybe if I reboot? So I clicked ‘OK’ after the final fail attempt and restarted my computer. Huge mistake.

Now while the NVMe hardware is installed the computer wont boot. It will boot without it installed. I tried disabling it in bios but that doesn’t work I can only boot without it.

Thinking of just returning it as defective and getting a new one but before I do that can anyone help me get this to work?

Google will help faster then here usually.

I tried everything, wasted my whole day off until I finally gave up. I’m just going to return it. Hey maybe it was defective all along… it did refuse to clone properly.

I have a Dell laptop that also didn’t like the Samsung nvme drive I put it in, I forgot what setting in the bios I changed that worked to get it to boot from it. I think it was putting it in legacy mode or something.

I ended up changing it out with a WD black nvme that worked fine without resorting to legacy mode. The Samsung went into my PC and worked fine there. Dell and their bios I guess…
