When Moused over the Traveler’s Log tab is greyed out, and in red text reads: “Visit the Trading Post in Stormwind to access the Traveler’s Log. Requires active game time.”
I am at the trading post, have active game time, and have completed the introductory quest.
UPDATE: If I close my game, reopen it, and click adventurer’s guide the tab opens, but as soon as I navigate away from it, I cannot open it again.

I have the same issue. Mine says “requires active game time.” That’s dumb, because I literally have an active subscription.
Same here. should have almost expected something like this to happen.
When was the last time something new launched with out a bug?

If you do the quest at the Trading Post, it unlocks the log in your Adventure Guide. Have fun out there!
This is the solution, and it can be done on an alt (which may be required if your toon having the issue was never automatically given the quest to visit the post). Complete the quest and the log will once again be viewable.
My toon was given the quest, and it was completed. The bug is still present.
Me too. I have checked alts and can’t find anyone with the quest.
Same and also I cannot ‘tour the TP’. continue is grayed out
Tried on many alts… the continue button on that quest is grayed out. Cannot do the quest or access the Log
OK, I thought I was having the same issue as well, I got the free Trader’s Tender from the chest, and assumed I was done. Apparently there are 3 other NPCs you have to talk to and also a scroll on the building that I couldn’t see from the mountain of mounts and people all crowded around. Once that part of the quest is done another amount was in the chest, then the tab opened up. Hope it helps!
First day back in WoW in 12 years and this exact thing happens to me. Not sure if Hopestorm’s solution will work as I don’t see any other NPCs to talk to or the building with the scroll (the UI and layout has changed so much in the last 12 years that I may just not recognize what I’m looking for). Can anybody confirm whether this worked for them before I submit a bug report? 
What helped for me was to abandon the “Tour the Trading Post” quest and accept the quest again. Because at first it kept telling me to access the traveler’s cache while I couldn’t and when I abandoned the quest and accepted it again it instead told me to talk to some people and do different things. At the end I was able to see my traveler’s log!
I have kind of a similar issue, but it maybe due to the quest not completing. I open the chest like it says but it doesn’t count and I cannot complete it so the tab just stays grayed out.
hi, I have a problem where I can’t access the Traveler’s log in the Adventure Guide menu, it is gray with a message visit the trading post, I’ve already done that, I tried talking to all the NPCs around and with the announcement posted on the wood, and nothing happens, no quest appears for me, I checked on other characters of mine to see if I could do it and I didn’t either. I have 1 year sub and the most recent expansion and everything, I’ve already reset my interface and it didn’t work, could you help me, I’ve tried everything? O notice that notifications pop up about earning stuff in the travelers log but I still cant access. If anyone can help me I would appreciate it
