Cannot Access Darkshore portal

Alliance here. We now control Darkshore and can go through the portal and do the dailies, wb, etc. I just did it on my main.

I logged in to my alt and the portal is not there. I was able to do the Darkshore Warfront on my alt last week… what gives? Does anybody know what it takes to unlock this?

Hmmm… Maybe you have to gain rep with someone? I know for us we had to gain rep with one of our groups to progress the story.

Pretty sure you need to go through the stupid questline and scenario before the portal comes up. I’m in the same boat. Not too thrilled about it.

As Alliance, you can just port to Darnassus which takes you to Darkshore since Darnassus doesn’t exist anymore. Horde has no other way to get there than to do the questline to create a portal in Dazar’alor.

This is so stupid. It didn’t make me do it on each toon for the warfront. Why this? GJ blizz.

Showed up for my main but not my alts.

I really hope they don’t make us do the stupid Night Warrior scenario on all of our alts.

The Arathi Intro was very short, the Night Warrior scenario is rather long.

long and boring

Having same issue with my druid alt…have to do the bloody quest line to open it up to have dailies and what not…you can kill rares and world boss…but you might as well spent a bit a time get the quest line done and get it out of the way.

i agree with other guy port to darn then just do the stuff

Update: Well, that was weird. So I went to Stormwind to begin the questline. Went into the castle, talked to the chica and the dude. Went out to the docks and took the portal. It ported me to Darkshore western shoreline where the scenario starts… but it was phased to how it is when you normally go through the portal in Boralus. The world boss and world quests are there. I didn’t go through the scenario at all. I flew over Bashal’Aran (48,36) where the portal from Boralus normally dumps you. I went through the portal back to Boralus, and the portal in Boralus is there now.

Soo… I guess the good news is I didn’t have to go through the entire questline/scenario again. Still kinda annoying, though.

I’ll have to try that on my mage next…just did all dang quest line on my Druid now, then see you post this…grrrrrr …it should be once one toon on either side does the opening quest line then rest of your alts don’t have to go though it again.

If you picked up the Darkshore opening quest in your log, the portal will not be there.

You can drop and reobtain it if needed. You only have to do the questchain once.

Welp I tried this and it didn’t work for my mage maybe if I drop quest I have to meet up in SW then do again like it might work.

Just as I dropped the quest to go to SW the portal in Bor showed up …strange…

Your tricked worked for my Mage…

Turn in just the bread-crumb quest “On Whipsered Winds” and you’ll be fine.

Abandoning the “On Whispered Winds” quest does cause the portal to appear for me, yes. But it makes the annoying Owl quest-give re-appear, and accepting it makes the portal disappear again. So overall seems better to just accept it, go to Stormwind to turn it in, then follow the questline to the Darkshore portal in SW bay as I previously mentioned.
