Cannot Access 25H on some Legacy Raids

I am Unable to Access Heroic Modes on Some Legacy Raids Such as Siege of Org and Ulduar, and others. Can this please be fixed. I am able to access Heroic Modes on Others

This is the Char that the problem exists on

Ulduar is from before there were Heroic raids. You could do some bosses in hard mode but that was triggered right before or as part of the fight, on a per-boss basis.

Also, Ulduar is a flex raid since it was adapted for Timewalking, so “10-player” or “25-player” isn’t selected by the party.

I was still unable to access the 25 Mode in Ulduar still and as I said 25H in others such as SoO

As I said, there is no 25 mode in Ulduar. It’s flex, so soloing scales the raid to 10-player (smallest size). But the loot table is the full 10- and 25-player loot tables combined, so you’re not missing out.

Still Does Not Fix SoO 25H or 25M

SoO has Flex Normal/Heroic and Fixed 20 mythic, it no longer has 10/25 anymore.

I didn’t realize SoO had also gone flex.

There’s your explanation.

They changed it with the WoD prepatch to get raiders used to the new raiding paradigm.

It’s still jarring to me because the rest of the expansion doesn’t work that way and I spent the entire tier progressing on 25H, lol

I was told that Garosh’s Shoulders drop on 25H. But it is hard to get to 25H when you click the option you enter the raid and it tells you that your in 10 and not even on heroic so you exit you rest the difficulty and you enter again and nope you still on 10 but now you 10H but no matter how many times you re enter the raid it continues telling me I am in 10H

I have accessed it before. This is a new development it worked at one point in time

You can no longer solo firelands 25 man. It always reverts to 10 man. I noticed this change when legacy loot was forced on us. Less loot from 10 than 25 = more time played.

Thank You For The Update I was Unaware Of Flex Soloing. I hope this does not effect drops. I want those shoulders!!!

AFAIK, it affects the total number of loot items dropped but everything from both (10 or 25) loot tables is available. Assuming there are distinct 10- or 25- player loot tables. That’s true of WotLK (Ulduar), but I’m pretty sure after Wrath there are no distinct loot tables for 10- or 25-. The loot table difference from Cataclysm onward is only LFR/Normal/Heroic/Mythic.

Firelands doesn’t exist as a 10-man or 25-man anymore. It was converted to Flex when it was added to Timewalking on April 7 this year.

Legacy Loot in a Flex raid drops 5 class-/spec-agnostic pieces per boss. This is the same as 25-man used to be. My understanding is that mounts, pets, and legendaries (where applicable) are in addition to these 5 items.

Yeah from Cata onwards blizzard made it so that bosses have the same loot table and the only difference in terms of gear power is between normal and heroic (LFR included from Dragon Soul onwards and Mythic from SoO onwards).

That caused a balancing problem for bosses which led to the new difficulty modes that came with the WoD pre-patch. As previously, some bosses were easier on 10 man while others were easier on 25 man. Thok was a boss that was a pushover in 25 man due to having a larger range of healer cd’s. Plus, as it is an odd number, you had to get just over half of your raid team to drop below 50% hp to start phase 2, which was something you actually never wanted to force. Meanwhile on 10 man, if exactly 5 people went under 50% hp, phase transition!!!

However it is annoying that you can only do 1 difficulty setting of Wrath raids per week per character since Cata onwards.

For ToC and ICC you can swap between normal and heroic modes mid raid, but you can’t do X bosses on 10 man and swap to 25 man for the rest. Which makes gearing up herald toons who need something from 10 man and 25 man painfully long. My warlock for herald needed a trinket from 10 man and 25 man naxx. (still needs the 10 man trinket =( )

Blizzard needs to revert that for wrath raids. As 10 and 25 man have different loot tables for those raids (except Onyxia, but I don’t count that as a “wrath raid” because it got boosted to level 80 because of the 5th anniversary event, which happened to be during Wrath’s timeline)

The anniversary Onyxia actually had different loot tables for 10-man and 25-man. While I don’t think there were any skins unique to one or the other, the items had slightly different colours and (though it’s moot now) different item levels (thus stats).

Onyxia, at its root, is a Wrath dungeon. So I would expect pre-Cataclysm loot rules. (Devs generally don’t change more than they absolutely have to.)

Who cares about the loot, the glory of the ulduar raider requires 25 man heroic so can someone explain to me how im supposed to get the two remaining achievements
