Can you get a decent amount of xp from the candy buckets?
It’s fairly standard quest XP. You might get 2-3 levels if you do all of them on a (high, but not capped) toon.
It’s not optimal if you’re looking to powerlevel but if you’re doing it anyway to get the toys you may as well do it on an alt if you can.

Thanks Aaku. I was just looking to use my 2nd account and do some light leveling and take a break from the standard ways.

Currently doing this on an alt. It’s certainly not the most efficient way to level, but it’s a nice relaxing break. Fly around, mine some nodes, level some pets, get some candy buckets…

I have a pacifist character who gets several levels from this holiday. He avoids opposite faction buckets, and he also does the dailies (stink bomb dropping and clean-up). Sometimes he does the fires.
Today I took some “babies” out. They’re allied races I’m not playing much. All I really did was a few buckets, put out the fires, and the dailies. Each of them leveled at least once. One character did the candy quest (making emotes at various inn keepers) as well as the chain that ends with the creepy crate pet. He grabbed buckets at inns along the way. That character got almost three levels.
If you do all the available buckets, you can get some really good xp. If possible, I recommend a character that has flying–it’s just way easier.
