Similarly, avoiding posting on your main is useful to troll the forums about some completely fictional horrible thing that must be addressed or avoid providing useful context to your complaint.

If you’re just making a regular comment, fine, no problem post on your alt or whatever. But if you’re talking about a specific experience of yours the fact that you’re avoiding using 3 clicks to give useful context to it suggests that you’re hiding something deliberately. Maybe you haven’t a single piece of chanted gear. Maybe you’re talking about how M+ dungeons are overtuned but you’ve yet to do them.

And yeah people shouldn’t nitpick the armory on points that are not relevant but the forums are trolly enough as it is.

The forums should show all max level characters of any account used to post. Cut down on some of the nonsense going on.

…and those posts are usually painfully transparent.

Being on a main, or an alt, doesn’t change that.

No, it puts the focus on the message. If the message makes sense, then that’s all you need. Who their main is, and their achievements, still remains irrelevant if the message is coherent.

Yey another “look at me, I’m quitting” post.

Its because you don’t understand how loot is being distributed and is probably farming M+ in order to gear up or something.

Also you don’t understand that you get less loot but each piece is way more valuable than before.

Bingo

Keyword here is random.

If you join a guild the randomness goes away. Even if you don’t get the loot you want this week, the fact that your team mates got them mean that you’ll be more likely to receive the item the next time you run with them. If you just go with randoms the probability is the same each time.

Which is expected, specially if you don’t complement with pvp gear.

It doesn’t matter if you work hard if you don’t work smart. M+ is not supposed to be farmed, it is very end of the week chest oriented. What the loot rules are trying to tell you is to stop doing that.

Raiding is a good place to get gear if you are in a guild.

You don’t do pvp which is the only way to get consistent gear.

The 1% are operating under the same rules as you.

So hear my tips: do less M+, get in a guild and do a bit of pvp to fill the gaps. You’ll get geared in no time. And remember that the vast majority of the players are still floating around less then 200.

Not true. Some trolls are quite practiced. If you’re posting about a specific experience your character had, post on your main or you’re hiding something.

because maybe like me they are lazy to change their profile just so people can check them. i mean really why does it matter? also forum posts are linked to character not account so once you switch characters w.e. feedback.posts you have on that character basically gets buried until you swap back to it. very terrible design

Again, no. It is a weak excuse, and a paranoid one. And frankly, given your persistence, it comes off as forum bullying.

But we’re going full circle, and so I’ll wish you a good day.

I don’t understand why people shoot themselves in the foot then blame the game. OP has 0 pvp gear on. Even if you just do bgs and the brawl for conquest, you’d be able to buy 4-5 200 ilvl pieces by now, if you do rated and get to 1400 rating you can upgrade all of those to 207. OP’s complaint doesn’t make sense to me.

It takes 3 clicks, try it.

because the fact that you’re avoiding 3 clicks when talking about a specific experience with your character means that you’re likely hiding something. Given how seriously Blizzard takes targeted harassment, why not do it?

Since your main is leather you can have 5x leather wearers in an m+ swapping drops as needed. Get 4 leather friends and m+ with them consistently, you’ll gear up quickly even if your luck is chronically sour.

like i said maybe they are lazy; you should read next time or in your words “try it” i have nothing to hide on here btw all my toons have the exact same names from the exact same server.

and yes i has asked some legit questions that piss people off too lol posts got removed but then restored cause its not “trolling” which is what peopple would have reported it as.

as goblins say if you are a real horde - TIME IS MONEY!

Not at all. It’s a low bar to help reduce the amount of trolling on the forums. And apart from “i don’t wanna” or “(easily ignored) people dig up my season 3 legion untimed M+ runs” there’s no reason why you should be able to hide your mains. Other than you have something to hide that’ll detract from how pristine your narrative is.

The idea that people not be allowed to call others names (such as paranoid, which you did) while themselves being able to spin confections ad libitum is ok and that calling for mains to be visible on posts is FORUM BULLYING sounds about right. It is 2020-21 after all.

sure

While I can understand your frustration by the looks of it you haven’t actually done much, on your main you have 2 normal boss kills, and 11 timed keys under plus 5. I honestly don’t understand why you expect to be rewarded for such little content done. All of this content you have done equals maybe 2-3 evenings of gameplay. For that little amount of gameplay since the xpac has released i would say your rewards are on par with where they should be.

You really don’t have to play 18 hours a day like people on the forums like to say but only 2 normal bosses and 11 timed keys in a month is not much at all.

Wait, aren’t you the guy that bragged about cheating on a live stream with an exploit and demonstrated for everyone how to do it? How are you even an MVP?

Blizzard community standards have definitely fallen from when I last played. The old bunch would never have tolerated that.

It isn’t my game or my website, but for what it’s worth, I find that deplorable… on both accounts.

RNG is the #1 reason why I don’t raid. I learned back in Vanilla that my effort is rewarded with PvP far greater than raiding gives. I was always unlucky in raids, and never ever got things. I pulled the plug on RNG years ago, and been a PvP’r since.

I do have RL friends that I am guilded with who we are going to run M+ together, as neither of us want to put up with ilvl elitism.

11 M+ so average 2 items, but only 1 vault because you did them all on the same week. LFR only gives 1 vault per week, so you’re not looking for loot options and are at risk of getting the same gear every week. Really doing minimum effort here guy. But you still managed to hit hit 190 ilvl with 7 items above m0. I’d say you got the expected loot, or maybe even better than expected.

You’ll need to do more content if you want more gear OPTIONS for replacing those blues. You can use the 190 covenant gear now though.

Seems to me Blizzard listened to all the wrong people again. Streamers complaining about too much loot perhaps persuaded them to go this route. Not sure, but they should go back. Killing dragons for treasure is much of the fun. Take the treasure away and it’s a bit less fun.

I agree 100%. If you can’t attack the message, definitely attack the messenger.

For those who are super upset that I didn’t post my main originally, I did immediately when asked (rather impolitely), so I’m not sure why you are bickering with each other about it. I get why people want to see my main, especially in this example. So I shared it.

For those of you saying that I’ve done very little, I disagree completely. I’m sure you stalked my Raiderio or something to get those numbers, but in those numbers, no where does it say how many M0’s I’ve done, how many times I’ve done LFR or those two specific bosses in Regular CN. I understand that context is important online, but so is not jumping to the conclusion that purely supports your own argument.

A lot of people have mentioned PvP - it’s just not something that I’m down for on this character. I’ve done plenty of PvP on other characters (Blood Guard on my shaman). I’ll consider it - so thanks for suggesting.

This is something that I haven’t done enough of. I’ve seen plate groups so it makes perfect sense to try leather groups. Thanks!

If you think that just what you mentioned, two normal boss kills in PUGs, 11 timed keys, plus things you didn’t mention like LFR and M0s, takes 2-3 evenings of gameplay, then you and I have very different definitions of ‘evenings.’ And maybe it makes sense to mention that. I have a very wonderful family that is my number 1 priority. Playing games is something I do to relax and enjoy. I’ve never said that I’m a hardcore player, but I have started to keep track of my loot woes, and my loot received vs content done is no where near normal.

Thanks to all who are offering constructive feedback - much appreciated.
