Cancelling finally

I feel bad. I love this game and it’s my second time leaving.

Hopefully I’ll be gone for a while idk. This patch seems pretty alt unfriendly. Too many quests, dailies etc and it feels like a job.

If this game was lobbied and all we did was do Mythic+, battlegrounds, and arena it might be more my style.

Don’t like going out in the world and having to do things. Don’t like repetitive quests or rare hunting. Don’t like logging on and spending one hour+ on dailies and letting my alts just sit back in the dust. Maybe next patch will become more alt friendly. Just don’t have the time to keep doing this. Don’t want to farm rep on horde toon to unlock the allied races and don’t want to pay any more money into this game because they charge too much money for services.

Hate unsubbing but I feel like I’ll have more time to do other things and other games. Won’t be playing FFXIV either because I feel just burnt out on the mmo genre.

I felt the same way about 3 weeks ago, but then I took a step back and did whatever I wanted and eventually got flying and then leveled this alt (which is almost at 400). I’m very casual and there are a lot of different ways to play and stay geared - that said, if you are a raider and want those essences then yeah, a lot more work has to go in.

Other than quitting, why not just look at it as a game - realize you’ll get everything eventually - and do what sounds fun to you in the moment?

I don’t want to see more people leave.

Found the problem, the thing is this mindset is anathema to an MMORPG like WoW. This isn’t Fortnite, World of Tanks, or League of Legends…it’s a Roleplaying game. A lobbied, instance only game is diametrically opposed to an RPG like WoW.

This isn’t WarCraft “One Unit Edition”, but World of WarCraft, the world is a fundamental aspect of the game that needs to be a part of the gameplay experience.

Not saying what you like/dislike is wrong, and I hate people leaving in this late hour of the game’s life, but if you don’t enjoy that core element of the game then it’s probably for the best to call it a day. Don’t waste your time and money on a game you don’t enjoy.

I dunno. So far I have enough currency on this guy to buy 75 pieces of Benthic armor to hand out to my alts when I decide to bring them thru.

Thank the void it’s not. I pretty much never do any of those things.

What? If there is one thing I liked about the patch, its how quickly I can get the alts going. Faster levelling of the heart, gear almost thrown at me for them - the only thing thats a bit repetitive is the rep, and I get that pretty fast just questing.

Seriously? I mean…what the…??? :expressionless:

The rest makes me wonder why you are playing WoW at all. Yes, the game has issues but this patch is probably the best one of the expansion to date. If they learn from it, make some significant changes to classes, take out pathetic Pathfinder and change their attitude towards professions, it will be a much, much better game.

I agree…

Honestly, you might want to look into a MOBA or something.
Lobbies?
This is an MMO.
We need MORE of the things you dislike.
Not less…

Good luck OP.

I appreciate your honesty, too many people would rather make their issues about the game out to be whatever is currently enraging the masses rather than just be honest.

Hopefully we see you again in the future. Cheers!

Wow is no longer the only game I play. I really need to feel like I’m getting my money’s worth. My sub runs out soon too and I’m coming back for classic but we’ll see

Good luck! You and I are virtually the opposite kind of players, but that doesn’t matter. Every player is valuable in an MMO. I hope you find fun elsewhere for awhile, and maybe next expac will be more alt friendly.

another post on how alt unfirendly this patch is…yep…yep and it is people just think because they can get 400ilvl gear its alt friendly because they were to lazy to get 400 in the year wait.

I know. People love the world content but I like doing the content once and being done with it. Don’t like having to go back to Najzatar or Mechagon on a daily basis

You could try League of Legends maybe, it’s free but some people just don’t like the play-style

Sounds like you miss WoD, you could sit in your lobby “Garrison” and queue for content all day.

Fully agree with this. Once I got flying I felt like I could do anything I wanted in game. I’m working on some alts right now. Might try for a few more M+ on my DH today because I find it fun.

I hate to see people leave but I understand.

Sounds like burnout for sure. Take some time for yourself and enjoy the little things in your part of the world.
Until then good luck and stay safe.

This is where the director should be diving at you with a blue post because something critical is failing and you don’t want it to be, as an obviously still loyal customer.

What I’m really saying is, this two-way-mirror-pretend-wall-of-silence nonsense is so absolutely not beneficial, so essentially toxic for the community (the thing I see always cited as the primary issue from the more… Blizzard-sided posters) that I’m just blown away when I don’t see someone (as a business professional) come flying into the thread like every freaking corporate reddit thread to resolve things for the customer.

You literally have people giving you these customer exit interviews at no real cost to you as a company, and they haven’t even done it on a third-party website to shame you, they’re doing it on your website and you just sit silently and cherry pick ideas you can’t ever seem to properly digest.

Allegedly the game director spends an inordinate amount of time on reddit (as well as here, presumably) reading posts, but the absence of communication makes it so utterly devoid of care, so completely voyeuristic that I can’t help but laugh at the fact that he’s undoubtedly, unironically and unwittingly titled Watcher.

I love this game, it makes me sick to see people quitting over the obvious issues, and I’m still blown away every day by how little the people running things care to actually get involved and how little their bosses obviously care to not replace them.

It had to be said.

You’re on a gear treadmill and tired. You’re stepping off to rest. Most likely you’ll come back and the treadmill will still be there. It never ends. Took me about a decade and a few breaks to realize that. Unlike other treadmills that just breaks after a while. =/
