How about launch with the appropriate level of servers, not have five hour wait times and you won’t chase people off to start? Yes I’m pretty sure that’s a better business plan.

No, it’s more like whether or not a restaurant wants to serve a very niche food to an audience that most likely may not be profitable because there won’t be demand. Resources and servers costs money. They don’t want to waste it on people who won’t stick around.

Well, the surge in interest will probably go away and queues will too. Maybe they could’ve made some more architectural changes as far as servers scaling better but all told I have still had fun, after being d/ced during queue after waiting 1.5 hours, then came back to 5? hour queue. The best customer experience ever? Far from it.
some people did go to lower pop server, guess what they had a queue few hours later. Blizz are just winging it, while they should be 10 steps ahead of this type of issues.
“We learn from the past” is a straight up lie.
But making it so the first visit sucks, just so you run people off so you can justify not having enough “Tables” to seat everyone is still ignorant. At this point people will quit simply because they can’t get logged in. That’s not because the product is bad it’s because the service is bad.
That is so stupid. Why not just wait a day or two or just play on a super low pop server
I swear 90% of the people on this forum have zero human contact and believe others are in the same boat.
I keep seeing posts of people angry over the wait times, what did you expect? So many people are excited so of course its going to be a trainwreck at launch. We’ve waited years for a classic server option, waiting a few more days won’t kill you and the servers will be more stable then. It doesn’t matter though, blizz got your $15 and that’s that. I’m sure you will be back, everyone comes back.
