I also remember those threads quite well, and remember blues being quite carful with there wording.
The use of those programs where never not allowed and remains the same today.
The same posts back than also warned that those programs can be used in ways that dose goes adverse to the tos. Which they have by allowing more than one action per keystroke blizzard has just picked to stop tolerating the expoilt and clarifyed that the rule applies to accross accounts as well. Before that clarification it was a grey area as the tos did only applied to one account so not technically a breach of the tos.
It’s no different than how autohotkey is not a voilation of the tos to use. The scripts you make thou can break the tos.
You can Multibox with ease yes. How legal it is and how effective it is is the part that is in question.
Just like people can bot with ease dosent make it legal and dosent mean they will be actioned.
Just since you can do something and don’t get actioned dosent make it legal. While if having multi acounts many don’t want to waste that investment in both time and money on something that is at best a grey area at worst a clear break of the rules. While the grey area ones blizzard Has already set a precedent by banning those using hardware methods that where meant to be kept legal. So they grey area ways are quite risky to.
If you consider a wpvp guild on the (blizzard recognized) premier wpvp server, doing wpvp, to another wpvp server, to other wpvpers, as toxic, then sure, I can’t change your mind on that if you want to paint that picture.
But if you want to talk reality, no, it isn’t toxic. By the point I had mentioned, we had already been raided and harassed by Mal multiple times in multiple zones, and already dealt with him ddosing the zones. Having Swifty, another streamer, advocate and cheer it on was uncalled for, not because we don’t like the fight, but because cheering on literal zone disruption via toys and fireworks is wrong both in spirit of wpvp and against TOS. So we sent a message the only way acceptable for wpvpers, and that was to do some wpvp.
This was prior to warmode. ED was an RPPvP server, which means every contested zone has everyone flagged for pvp. Cities are safer than the open world, but cities are not always safe. If pvp is toxic, then nothing I can do to change your mind, but I won’t ever agree with you.
Everything we did was legal within Blizzard’s eyes. The same could not be said for what the boxer was doing. If you want to somehow equate the two, go for it, but good luck convincing people that pvp somehow equals pseudo botting and zone disruption.
Wow, what a great way to show that you actually didn’t read the thread, specifically the parts where I stated we won most fights.
What a great way to show you actually don’t understand why people are mad, good to know you read “internally ddos the server via toys and fireworks”, shrugged your shoulders and said “sounds fine, idk why people are mad.”
Wpvp server and Ashran one and the same. You seem to be missing the part where you farm him and swifty. You casually say its a wpvp server so it alright to farm someone there
"If you do not wish to engage in regular PvP combat, you must create your character on a Player versus Environment (PvE) realm. On a PvE realm, you can freely choose when you want to engage in open world PvP combat by enabling or disabling your PvP flag.
If you chose to create your character on a PvP realm, Game Masters will not address situations where you are repeatedly killed by the opposite faction. This includes situations that may be considered dishonorable such as corpse camping or killing players well below your level." - Blizzard
So your turn. Equate pvp to zone disruption via toys and fireworks.
If he deliberately crashed a zone with 80 characters he would be banned very quickly.
How I know this is because swifty many years ago accidently crashed a server due to too many people being in the same zone at once. He got banned within 24 hours after it happened. I think your exaggerating as to either the magnitude of the server disruption or fabricating a story to make yous sound so more real.
Mal is not Swifty. It’s crazy how someone in the lime light, and was, before Asmongold, the face of wow, was being watched by Blizzard, while random multiboxer #87 wasn’t.
Mal has his videos on youtube right now. WSB used to post, and I remember multiple videos were up at one point of Mal lagging out the zones. Even in Mal’s videos you see the zones get laggy without the use of toys.
Of course his videos are only of “wins”, even if that win is killing a single WSB straggler in Stormshield, or of Baine not dying and the server crashing.
Feel free to believe me or not, I already have another person in this thread who knows the boxer I’m talking about. I do not care if not max level retail alt on LKC forums believes me.
Funny how you changed the narrative from “equally toxic” to “I don’t believe you”. I knew you couldn’t prove that point.
crazy that you are telling everyone you are a multiboxer i’d figure a multiboxer would be embarrassed to let people know his true identity. Only bad players multibox. You never see a real pro do it, it’s a waste of time. You need 5-10 characters to replicate what one good player can do lol
so you cant alt tab to another window in here? Not that I want to play 2 accounts at the same time, I have hard enough time pressing 2 buttons with my Boomkin for the win
Former WSB here, I was there for all this too, those were great times. Were you there when we baptized (drowned) Swifty in the lake in front of Stormwind? That was a moment I’ll never forget. He was a good sport too, when he realized what we were doing he was on stream in disbelief cracking up.
