Can you spell reflect Incorporeal casts?

Was just wondering if you can you spell reflect Incorporeal casts? If you can and the 100% haste debuff is applied to the ghosty boi then it might be a positive interaction for warriors dealing with this affix. Not in a position to test myself.

If it can’t be reflected, can it please Blizz?

probably not. you generally cannot reflect untargeted aoe abilities.

Although it didnt reflect it back, in SL in the plagueboi fight you could pop spell reflect during his aoe stomp attack and nullify its damage and knockback.

I had to spend like 10 minutes testing it because he kept missing, but spell reflect neither stops the direct damage or the knockback. It does reflect the debilitating plague that is applied to players hit by his plaguestomp though.

Huh. I completely remember avoiding the knockback. Weird.

being physical, its probably possible to rng parry it.

Thats what it was! Im thinking Im remembering popping DbtS maybe and not reflect. Not sure now.

That dot did so much damage to him. I love it when Spell reflection ends up being my top damaging ability when tanking. It is why I love 2nd phase Balakar Khan. Reflect the dot and it melts him.

Why is spell reflect so confusing and unintuitive. I feel like I never know if it’s going to do anything. Same with monk diffuse magic never actually reflecting debuffs.

Spell reflect has 3 outcomes

  1. It does nothing except for the 20% DR to magic
  2. It deflects the spell. Meaning you take no damage but the enemy takes none as well
  3. Reflects the spell. Meaning the enemy takes the hit instead.

Usually dps meter addons like details will track the damage you deal via spell reflection. Other times it doesn’t. And sometimes you can reflect a spell but the enemy is immune to the effect. For example you could reflect one of the traps on Xy’mox in CN, however the boss would be immune to the stun component.
