Just saying. I’d like to be able to do glory runs for older DF raids without Awakened Affix turning it into a miserable experience. Thanks!
Edit: Also, from what i read, Guilds would also be thankful if they could just farm mythic DF raids at their own leisure without having it suddenly buffed and made harder to do for no good reason.

As of right now, there is no confirmation of a Raid affix being present for the Dragonflight Season 4 Awakened Raids.

They are still going to buff the bosses when awakened is active, however. This should be 100% optional so if you wanna do vault of the incarnates for glory acheives, you shouldn’t be subject to harder raid bosses with no option to disable it.

Or, alternatively, if “we have to buff the bosses when the season is over so you have to re-prog all over again”, fine, but they should apply that to all the raids in the game.
So no more people farming old raids by themselves; if you need 20 people and the latest gear to kill Fyrrak and Tindral, you should also need 20 people in the latest gear to kill The Lich King or Garrosh.
(Which would be a stupid idea, but so is having Awakened be mandatory. It was stupid with Fated in S4 Shadowlands, and it’s stupid now, in Dragonflight.)
What happened to “I can do ulduar glory achievements in ICC gear and let the raid have full control (more or less) over the fight without dps or healing constrains being a thing anymore”? Really weird approach. Also if they can just do fated to DF raids, i’d avocate to do that to older raids instead imho. You’ve been doing DF raids for all of DF if you raided, so a change of pace with older raids being brought back to relevance for a few months would be a breath of fresh air.
But main point is: Let us choose. Let it be optional.
To be fair, going back in 486 gear trying to do some of the Aberrus glory stuff in normal was actually harder in heroic Amirdrassil gear than they were back when it was current. I don’t think the difficulty is going to make it that much harder to go in on normal difficulty in season 4 and get these glory achievements done. My guild did Glory of VotI in 2 hours in season 1. The difficulty should be similar in that regard.
I’m not talking about achievements, we did all those when the seasons were current.
I’m talking about farming Mythic mounts.
Oh. No. I like being able to kick Guldan in the face in Nighthold weekly thank you very much.
And hundreds of guilds were looking forward to farming Fyrrak mounts once they got over this absolutely GRUELING season, one of the hardest in history.
And now that they’ve beaten Fyrrak… they have to kill him a dozen more times to get the mounts for their players who worked all those months to get him down.
And with Season 4… they boss gets buffed, so you have to re-gear and re-prog all over again.
Season 4 is stupid, but the LEAST they could do is let people choose to do the raids as they currently are.
I thought once the season ended those mounts dropped from 100% drop to 1%, or is that only for the pre-patch/new expac?
Mounts always drop to 1% when the next expansion comes out.
Only when level cap increases in next expac release.
The only guilds that have even had time to get the mounts for their entire team, are the Hall of Fame guilds.
Everybody else is still working on it, since mounts only drop 2 per week. (The Mythic mount is NOT tied to the Cutting Edge achievement, unlike the mounts for M+ and PvP.)
Ok, wasn’t sure. I’ve only gotten 2 Mythic mounts when they were current, Ironhoof Destroyer and Glacial Tidestorm. Never really paid attention as I got into open raid groups that ran the raids expressly to get the mounts.
Just this in. If the whole point of this is to make people do DF raids, it will have the exact opposite of many of us, myself included. Instead we will just do something else because we aren’t that crazy about Awakened and we just want to do our glory achieves without hassles. The devs really need to rethink this whole thing being forced into players with no opt-out.
Little late for them to rethink it when it drops in a few day. I mean, we knew this was confirmed coming months ago, and speculated that there might be fated raids since season 2 of DF. If you aren’t into re-raiding these raids in Season 4 no one is forcing you. I’m looking forward to having stupid weird combinations of gear from all 3 raids.
And people complained about the lack of an OFF button in Shadowlands season 4, too.
So just dissolve the guild and go our separate ways?

You can take a break. It’s a bonus season. I mean you can still do M+, pvp, quest, work on the meta for the good boy. I totally agree that a fated season is kinda lackluster and would prefer a new tier like the olden days but I am still gonna play it because I like raiding.
