If you install Ubuntu on a Chromebook theoretically it is possible; WoW is compatible with Ubuntu, and Ubuntu is compatible with Chromebook hardware. However, whether WoW is compatible with the hardware is a different story.
Chromebooks can either have an Intel or ARM processor; if you want to play WoW, it needs to be one that has an Intel. It must have at least 2GB of ram as well. Also, many models don’t really come with hard drives and at best tend to have <20GB of space, so you’ll likely need to either upgrade the drive if possible or buy an external hard drive to install the game on.
Even if you do get it running though, keep in mind that Chromebooks are not gaming computers by a longshot. You’ll likely have to have all graphics settings at the absolute minimum, and even then the framerate will be dropping below 15 FPS. It won’t be an ideal experience.
