Can you only get beta on your WoW1 account?

I’ve been playing WoW for over a decade now and not once have I gotten a beta invite. I wonder if it’s because I only use my WoW2 account? (When I signed up for a subscription I accidentally applied it to WoW2… so my WoW1 account is still “starter edition”)

Im pretty sure it doesnt matter but then again im not 100% sorry :smiling_face_with_tear:

Yes. It’s one per battlenet.

The WoW Beta invite is tied to your Bnet account, not a specific WoW license.

You don’t need an active sub to be considered for a Beta. While they do sometimes have waves that target different aspects of the community, new or returning players are also a group that Blizz wants to hear from.

Feel free to go to the Opt In page and sign up. That puts you in the lottery for a spot.

The one thing I think you do need - is an account in good standing over all. An account that is not banned, and/or has no disciplinary actions. Not sure what the line is on that for history.

I’ve never been banned or suspended, so I should be in good standing. Maybe it is just bad luck then lol.

It’s a battle.net thing.

No, its not because you’ve only been using 1 account. Its VERY hard unless your a content creator/streamer/friend or family of blizz employee to get in. Essentially having 2 accs is basically buying 2 lottery tickets instead of 1.

There’s no real luck involved here…its just you get picked or not. They don’t need millions of testers…only a few 1000s to get full testing.

You can get it on any account actually. I have on my main account for almost all of them. Alphas and Betas for most Blizzard games.

3 of the suggestions I put forth in an Alpha made it into game.

I opted in… But admittedly I’m a terrible Beta tester. I know that everything I achieve is not going to carry over so I just do bare minimum

Hopefully that doesn’t include my past forum antics. I got into the D3 beta. Not sure how though lol

I did too. I think they let a lot of people in at the end as a stress test. It was only up to level 13 I think and the Skeleton King quest. That is still the free demo today.

Some Blizz games they sort of throw Beta invites at everyone…see Hearthstone! Heh. They went very heavy on invites before final release.

Other games they have very limited Alphas and Betas. We shall see what they do here.

Being able to run the game is what determines if I buy it. I know it won’t run on this laptop. I have to see if my hand me down Frankenputer desktop can handle DF.

All I have is my toaster…I mean laptop. I’m already running it on graphics settings #3

We shall see
