I cannot find a straight answer to this anywhere because every way I try to search it the search results always think I’m talking about damage absorbs like Power Word: Shield. No. I want to know, if I cast Aura Mastery with Devotion Aura or Ironbark or a tank CD before Ovi’nax’s giant raidwide heal absorb or the devour affix goes off, will the amount of heal absorb on the debuff be less? Because I’m not sure if this is “damage” exactly I couldn’t be sure and it’s super hard to test because there are only so many such mechanics that are kind of hard to get to.
This affix doesn’t absorb healing.
We talking about one that needs to be dispelled or healed trough?
It wouldn’t matter because neither of them absorb healing.
The mechanics that don’t actually take your HP away but you have to heal through them to remove the debuff. Whatever the terminology is, that’s what I’m asking about.
Yes, but there’s a fundamental difference from a heal absorb and the affix. With a heal absorb you have to heal the absorb before your healing goes to the player. With the affix your heals go to the player simultaneously as it also goes towards the affix.
To answer your question on absorbs I wouldn’t think it impacts them because healing absorbs aren’t “damage”.
I don’t think you can mitigate absorbs.
Although Queen had abilities that put a larger absorb on you depending how much damage you take from something else, which obviously can be mitigated.
No you cannot mitigate healing absorbs. Since they don’t do damage.
The only one that can be mitgated is Queen Ansurek’s bite since that puts a base healing abosrb + additional absorb per damage taken. And the mitigation only works on the absorb per damage taken.
