Can you max out crafting professions on a level 1 alt?

That is the question :D, i tried googling and couldnt find much.

No.

The closest you can come is on a level 35 alt. Depending on the professions you choose, quite possibly not even that.

What happens at level 35?

You can train professions up to Artisan at Lvl35.

Level 35 is the mechanical requirement for learning 225-300 of a profession.

You can train artisan versions of the crafting skills…if you can reach the trainers. The Artisan Enchanting trainer is deep inside the dungeon Uldaman.

Ok thanks everyone

The max level you can get a profession is dependent on your level. In order to buy the skill to go past 225 in a profession you need to be level 35. There is a similar restriction for the other skill levels as well (75 and 150). I don’t remember off the top of my head what those levels are. I would guess its level 15 and 25, but I’m not sure.

Even so, at 300 skill many of the best patterns require killing certain mobs, which means level 60 (or so).

A level 35 alt is good for getting to 300 skill in alchemy or tailoring for transmutations and mooncloth cooldowns though.

Edit: this board gets replies too fast. Apparently its 10 and 20 for 150 and 225 respectively.

The only thing a level 5 will be able to is disenchant, and this is assuming the item is not bound to you.
