And then what? You complain there isn’t enough to do after you burned through all of it in a week? Players with this mindset are why things are time gated to begin with. They have an unhealthy addiction to this game and nothing they do allows them to actually win. Let you do it all in a week? You whine and moan there is zero to do. Time gated? you whine and moan you can’t do it all in a week so you can complain there is nothing to do.
Instead of presenting complaints about time gating, how about you actually provide feedback and a solution that isn’t “LOL MOAR CONTENT NAO BLIZZNARD!!” so they don’t have to keep time gating.
You and your ilk are your own worst enemies in this case.
No. I happen to like not needing to spend the next week running nothing but Torghast to have my DPS legendary at max. And my resto legendary at max. And the dungeon BiS for each spec at max.
I like not having to grind out renown 40 tomorrow.
I like having new stuff to look forwards to, within reason. Looking at you Broken Shore and Torghast tower’s one quest each week nonsense. Be more like the covenant chapters with a mini quest line each unlock. Not a single stupid quest.
Whining about timegating is a very unhealthy way of trying to dodge the fact you have nothing to do outside of this game so you have to have all the content to do at once, and now.
I personally prefer to be able to rush the content or not if I choose. However, if I run out of “stuff to do” I realize that’s a self-created situation. I won’t call it a problem because it’s fine to reach a state where my focus can be mostly on doing instanced runs when guildies or friends are doing them.
The time-gating serves a bit more purpose here than just pushing us to wait. Since they chose to put a lot of player power behind covenant Renown, they didn’t want to upset early endgame balance with the huge gap that would be a player with full soulbind traits (via grinding it all out in days) versus a player without.
I don’t agree with most of their time-gating reasoning I’ve listed; just explaining the observation.
exactly.
We are all in different situations. blizzard CANNOT account for them all.
one guy can literally play 20 hours a day and would burn thru the expansion content in a week if allowed then, as you say, be in here screaming that there isnt enough content.
Too much to do thats required and players with lives outside the game may as well not even try to get into any competitive play…they’ll never be able to keep up.
I dont like every aspect of the game, but the gating right now isnt too bad.
I can run for a while, get my stuff done for the day and the go mog farming for a while and not feel like I should be doing something in current content for fear of getting behind or whatever.
or making it so the 2 year expansion lasts two years.
When I watch a movie I watch beginning to end. I dont run it in fast forward either.
I sit down and enjoy it as it unfolds at the pace its meant to.
Same thing.
Just with a game, Im interacting with it instead of just being an observer.
I agree with you. The time gating stales the story, What kind of Online RPG is this if I have to tune in next week to see what happens? This is not the a tv show. I don’t need to wait for weekly content. (Play for the lore)
I rather binge watch my TV. but now am bored and waiting for some time to pass until I play again. So I actually have something to play.
LMAO…and you wonder why people post on alts …
any more irrelevance to argue with?
what he said that your comment literally had ZERO to do with
