Can you ignore the war campaign

How playable is BFA with ignoring the war campaign ? I’d probably still do WPvP and would enjoy it I just would like to avoid the story of the war campaign. I’ve leveled other characters to 120 and enjoyed the zone stories, dungeons and raids through 8.1 months ago and ended up taking a break over where the war campaign was going. Still, I am not sure what content would be blocked by ignoring the War campaign itself on a new character.

You don’t need to do much of it. Probably still need to do the first step to get a way to get to Kul’tiras if your horde.

Speaking on my alt; I’m having no trouble at all.

Only if you don’t want to fly.

If you want the Allied Races you will have to complete the War Campaign. The War Campaign, while largely optional, is still one of the major story arcs of this expansion. You should be able to complete all of the quests found within the three zones that are initially available for your faction, but you won’t be able to progress much in the three initial zones for the opposite faction without following the War Campaign.

Oh? We have flying now?
Where?
And since when?

One character has to finish it. Doesn’t matter which side of the war.

…and then I get to fly in current content yes?
because that’s whgat you just said.

This is what I just said “One character has to finish it. Doesn’t matter which side of the war.”

Flying will be out during 8.2, but you know that already.

Oh.
So we can’t fly now.
Thank you.
In spite of the FACT that Blizzard advertises thie ability as a feature of their games.
‘…but you have to do all this stuff and then wait until we feel like giving it to you.’’
And then they wonder why trier stocks plummet, along with their syubs.

You think stocks are tied into flying?

EA - Down
Take-Two - Down
Activision - Down

Can you show me what all three companies have in common (it’s not flying).

You can fly in everything pre-BFA except for 6 or 7 areas and have been able to for almost two years.

…which is why I’m leveling alts and totally ignoring BfA.

I am thinking the first 3, just to unlock the 3 footholds.

You’re gonna have at least do all of it on your main to unlock all the flight paths. After that you’ll at least have to do the 1 of the starter quests in one of the zones to unlock the boat to get to Zandalar on each of your alts.

You need it one time it can be ignored on alts
I unlocked one foothold and fly around from that one entry point. Don’t need all the footholds

You need it to fly, on one character.

You need it to fully unlock the mission board, as well as all the mission board dudes.

I just do it, on the alts. They get XP from it anyway.

Oh, I remember something else. 8.2 has more bodyguard stuff again, right? So my guess is that won’t just TOTALLY be from new area stuff, the war campaign might be tied in somehow. So again, there might be a reason to do it on alts.

I leveled this toon entirely without even doing the Stormwind siege. You can’t break down azerite armor, you can’t do island expeditions and the entire city is barren.

So can you? Yes. Should you? No.

Parts of the new zones will phase without story completion.
Tho if you know where and enjoy WPvP this isn’t necessarily a bad thing. =x

As long as you did everything once on one character, it all depends on how much you do or don’t feel inconvenienced playing your alt without certain flight paths and a couple table mission followers.

I would recommend doing it up until you open the lumber yard flight path in Kul’Tiras. It’s the only one that’s phased via the campaign. That’s as far as I take any of my alts.

Other than that, pick one to complete the campaign if you want Pathfinder.
