After Aug 26th 3pm I am dedicating the rest of my entire live to classic. Eventually I want to meet someone special in game and get married in Azeroth. Is it possible to have a wedding in Classic and officially be a married couple?
You can have your own wedding.
Just be mindful that your server doesn’t have a guild called Serenity Now on it.
…That was a funeral, but the principle remains the same.
well it is 2019…
On a RP realm sure, why not.
Just…don’t hold it in PvP contested territory.
Unless you want an Orcish wedding. anyway.
I think you mean, “Serenity Now”.
Close enough though.
Serenity Now.
Insanity Later.
You can get married on a RP-PVP Realm to, it’ll totally give you a PvP Bonus.
Get some friends and hold a wedding. Just don’t be surprised if it ends up re-enacting the Red Wedding.
this isnt FF14 you cant be officially married but you can still get married, just show up at the stormwind cathedral and tie the knot
not sure if any of you are old enough to remember this but many a years ago some horde players tried to get married at the stormwind cathedral however the alliance didnt forever hold their peace when they raided the wedding and killed everyone
That reminds me I once went to a Worgen wedding in SW in retail.
I attended a wedding in Vanilla WoW. A Forsaken couple got married in the priest area of the Undercity. Had to put on my tux and everything. The priest conducting the ceremony was hammered (in-game, possibly irl, who can tell?). They were both warlocks, so after their vows, they blew each other kisses and hellfired themselves to death.
And then the booze was passed around to the rest of the attendees and it’s just a blur after that. Good times!
You know, FFXIV has a marriage service - iirc you get rings that can teleport you to each other? Or maybe that was FFXI - pretty cool anyway.
Don’t do it man.
So, 'til death do us part meant they were married for 30 seconds?
Strictly speaking, they were both dead to begin with, so I don’t think that particular bit applied in the first place.
I mean, you’ll still have to go to a town hall or something to fill out paperwork and all that… but the ceremony could be held in WoW, sure.
You can get married virtually, but you have to sign the official licence physically, with witnesses ofc
