Can you get banned for needing on everything?

Just asking, because i’m tired of never getting any upgrades because healers and tanks need on my stuff, yet i’ll pass on loot all the time and get nothing for my troubles. I’m thinking that with the new cata+ player mindset, people will be perfectly fine with me vendoring items and just buying upgrades off the Auction house instead. It’s a means to the same end goal, and upgrades are after all, upgrades. I think it’ll be a creative approach to solving my problem, and since I’ma mostly just twink and PvP at end game, being blacklisted shouldn’t be an issue really.

Thoughts?

People will kick you from groups if you need on greens or BoP. You should always roll need on blue or purple BoE.

There’s need if you need it, and greed if you want to sell. Need on BOE’s blues and purple.

But the auction house has upgrades, which cost gold. So I need items to vendor for said gold.

Need is for items you equip.

No people can blacklist that player though. At least you wont be annoyed by that set of pixels again for whatever made reason right or wrong.

Yeah Idk why ppl would have an issue with me needing everything, like it’s low level gear, you’ll replace it soon. It’s not like this is end game. Stop being so srs and enjoy life brothers.

Ninja looting is a punishable offense to answer your question…

you have the same chance as everyone else to get the gear… ya RNG might suck sometimes… but it is the only fair way

But it is RNG, if everyone else rolls need as well. It just eliminates the greed/need issue. And technically I do NEED the items by definition.

Then be prepared for people to call you out as a ninja and flame you in LFG.

I’d definitely ask “does anyone mind if I roll need?” Before doing it. Best of luck!

You won’t get banned. I would blacklist you and prevent you from joining any guild that I know.

Join a great guild, the bigger the better, and make groups with them. This is what a guild is for. Classic is not a solo game. ( unless you want a headache)
