Can you get a mount twice from a dungeon?

I’m not sure if this is possible but, I learned my stonecore mount years ago. However I’m curious if it’s possible to get the mount again after learning it?

It can drop again but you can’t do anything with it; it’ll just take up a slot in your bags/bank unless you destroy it.

Got the azure drake twice from whats his name the blue dragon aspect. One dropped, and then got both drakes another time I went there. I was bored and in that area so I went to beat the dragon pinata. It was on my paladin.

I had the time walking drake drop 2 times after I had learned it and I was able to trade it to other people in the group.

You can. The worst thing is when you are doing like coren direbrew and the ram or kodo drops again, and you cant even trade it to a fellow group homie who doesn’t have it yet. A complete waste at that point.

i had both mounts from that event drop multiple times.

Isn’t it annoying though. Like you cannot even trade them to people who might need them even if you wanted to lol.

You can. I have the white hawkstrider from years ago then got it again in timewalking

That happened to me yesterday.

It is funny though when certain mounts get linked in guild chat when you loot them. Like the OS ones and there is always someone who goes, “grats”. Only for you to say that you already have it. Speaking of the OS ones. Why do they do that when they have an 100% drop chance if you do Sarth 3 drakes?

its possible to get raid mount drops more than once also, I have had the non flying firelands mount 3 times, never did get the flying one

If you’re soloing, you won’t be able to trade mounts that drop for you. If you’re in a group, you may or may not be able to trade mounts that drop for you to people in your group. (*‘may or may not’ since I think some mounts have special criteria that make them only drop for you)

Story time!

Years ago during the Halloween event, I got the Headless Horseman mouth. Learned it. The end.

Except years later I got the reigns again.

Rather than deleting them, I transferred that character to my father’s account where after he learned it so he now has the mount for his account despite never getting it during the event.

How many minds did I just blow?

It is annoying when you have an instance, firelands and dragonsoul for example, that drop multiple mounts, but you end up getting the same one twice.

I have had the flametalon drop twice and i wanted the felfire hawk lol.

And in dragonsoul, i am afraid i am going to get alexstraza lifebinder handmaiden again when i still need blazing drake. For me it is all about the model to be honest.

Twilight harbringer, life binder handmaiden, and blazing drake all look the same. One is fine for me lol.

I have a blue drake and the red drake. I am fine without a green drake thank you.

That is my logic anyway lol

I’ve only seen it happen once, but I was pretty salty about it. Was running Firelands for some transmog and had the Pureblood Firehawk drop. I already had said firehawk (got it a year or two prior), and I had been farming other raids, especially ICC 25 heroic, for a few years at that point. A friend of mine can attest to my mood that day. It was not pleasant.

yes but it ends up bound so no point.

It happens. I just delete it and carry on.

i have multiples of 1% mounts just sitting in the bank, its about time blizz allowed us to cage and sell mounts the same as pets.

Came here to mention this. I’ve had to throw so many away over the years, lol. The bronze drake from CoS too, whenever we did that in Wrath. I guess I didn’t always need to loot it, but I got a weird OCD thing about not looting when I have loot. :flushed:

Agreed. I’ve thought this for a long time. I would make so much gold, lol. You want your gold sinks Blizz? There you go.

In perma Vanilla Classic (at least, the race mounts) are BoE. My R3 PvP friends would buy the discounted version, for me, so I wouldn’t have to pay full price :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:
