Can you finally let us choose our class mount?

As an elemental shaman I want to ride the air elemental not a bloody stupid fire elemental. Why is this choice still restricted? It makes literally zero sense.

If anything it should have been an air elemental for every spec. It doesn’t even make sense that the fire and water elementals can fly.

Agree. Some classes like paladins and hunters can so why not everyone?

Not gonna lie. I prefer the grey bloodthirsty wyrm over the red one.

I’m 50/50 on this because from a fantasy standpoint it gives identity to the spec. Ik it sounds silly but still.

In what world is an air elemental not more suited to the spec that has been defined by its use of the air element for the entirety of the game? Just because the developers went full retard and neutered lightning spells for the elemental spec doesn’t mean it hasn’t historically been predominantly focused around lightning bolt and chain lightning.

They couldn’t afford the contract with the air elemental services and therefore they had to settle with the fire elemental.

As one of the classes that gets to choose whatever color they want to ride I think it should have been that way from the beginning. It never made sense that some classes got to ride what ever they wanted and others were spec locked. My ele shaman uses a blue transmorg set a fire elemental does not go with it.

rogues and warlocks got multiple versions of their mount, shamans should get an earth, air, fire and water elemental to choose from

If you wanna get technical, Enhance is more familiar with air than Elemental due to the fact they have Wind Fury. Also shouldn’t you be opting for a Lightning Elemental mount seeing that you have a talent that lets you summon one? But since Blizzard allowed some classes to have multiple version I don’t see why Shamans can’t.

I disagree wholeheartedly with this. Windfury became the weapon enchant of choice for enhancement but elemental shaman have been based around lightning (i.e. air) since level 1 day 1 of the game.

Lightning is an air element spell. Air elemental produce lightning.

That doesn’t change the fact Enhance utilizes wind without shocking people like Ele does.

I’m well aware of that, if that’s the case why can’t you summon a Air elemental instead?

Except it’s a Storm elemental that uses wind attacks who’s primary function is to enhance your lighting attacks. If that was the case they could’ve just called it an Air elemental.

So nothing. What you are suggesting is that Enhance, a spec who shares the visuals effects of Air makes more sense than Ele.

Yeah, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be a separate mount. As a Warlock, I can choose b/w 3 color variations of a very sweet looking horse depending on whatever mog I’m using. It seems really arbitrary that Shaman’s are locked depending on the spec they’re playing.

Have you actually looked at the elemental? It’s an air elemental that casts lightning attacks, as literally all air elementals in the game do.

When did I say enhancement shouldn’t have the air mount? If anything all three specs should have gotten the air mount as the only options. As I said it doesn’t even make sense that fire and water elementals can fly. I just happen to also be saying that if anyone should have gotten the air mount it’s elemental, but ultimately my actual point is that we should just be able to choose.

I did all 12 classes for the mounts. Some are amazing and wonderful. I just don’t like the Shammy one. It feels clunky and out of place.

I think he’s talking about druid. I like it but it can’t be used in no fly zones which is like the majority of BFA for a long time so we really don’t have our class mount this expac unless we do previous content

That’s true tho :stuck_out_tongue: I would prefer buying flying like in previous expacs but it’s fine. I’ll deal with it…
