Can You Carry Achievements?

Pretty simply question. If I want to help folks from my guild obtain certain mounts, can I carry them through older raids to help them get those mounts? Even if they don’t do anything at all?

yep!

but, I’d have them tag the bosses, just to be safe.

yep, they may have to tag the boss though. I was running a friend through blackrock foundry and they didn’t get to loot one of the bosses because it died before he could hit him with an ability. they must be in the same room as you to get loot in most cases.

Being in the same room isn’t an issue. But tagging the boss might be another. In one instance, I have to be VERY precise on how to take down the boss if the achievement is to be earned, so it’s better if I just take him down alone. If I do, and everyone is in the room, will those folks still get it?

Most, if not all, dungeon and raid achievements require you to damage the boss or take damage from the boss. More often than not, you are not required to be alive at the end of the fight. Some achievements, however, do require you to be alive at the end.

Thanks!

I’ll try to be more specific here. The Ulduar fight when you need to take down the giant statue man. It’s pretty specific on what you have to do to get it. Take down the arms. Then the head. If too much damage is done, you won’t get it. This is why I’m asking.

Aye, have the “carry” hit one of the arms, then stop.

Thank you!

Yep I do it all the time. Just make sure they tag the mob and you grab aggro right away.
