I’m expecting a massive sh*t show no matter what lol. There will be so many angry people and wouldn’t be surprised if servers just flat out crash. Don’t think WoW has had a new expansion release with this much hype or people planning on jumping in the first second since maybe BC
Fyi, the queue is at the realm list, not the character list. If you simply log in early (like right now), then wait at the enter world button, you would already be ahead of the queue. I’m going to boot my client like 30m early, haha.

I’m prepared to accept it. These things can indeed happen. It’s all part of the fun for me. The hype and the potential chaos that ensues( not that I’m saying I’d prefer it), but something about the exitement that surrounds the launch of an eagerly awaited game, that I’m sure many of us know. 
Be careful. That’s why i said after 30 min you get removed from character selection screen no matter if you actively doing things or not. If you boot up 30mins before and it doesn’t go live until 6:02 you will be booted before being able to log in and get stuck back in ques. Give yourself a buffer.
At that point I’ll be clicking around. I won’t be “idle”.
I think I’ll go for 5:35, even if it’s slightly behind others, It seems safe bet.
Being idle doesn’t matter on character screen. It will log you out after 30 mins even if you actively creating a character

I was shooting for 5:40 I think. May even push to 5:45. But who knows I’ll prob get anxious and pay for it lol

Of course there is a way to avoid the queue, neighbor!
Don’t log in to the Classic server and you won’t enter the queue! Thus avoiding it!

Even with the 30 minute character select timer, what about a login grace period if you’re DCed? IE: if you’re actually in game and get DCed you have 5 minutes or something to log back in without a queue. Does that apply from character select?
My main goal is to just get in in the first wave of people and going as hard as I can so i can get out of the starting zone before all the mobs are camped, but im not expecting that to happen, especially as a rogue.
This is the dream. And everyone will be aiming for it. If its chaos, go get a gathering profession, and do that while you wait for mobs to spawn. Or just kill anything you see to get xp even if its not part of a quest. It’s like when you have down time at work, but there’s always that jerk who says “You can always be doing SOMETHING”

not it doesnt it means a tail. some lowlife use for the word dick but it mainly means ‘tail’ also blizzard said in the Q&A that they will logout everybody that are in the character creation screen 15min prior to the launch.
A massive amount of people trying to log on at the same time. Unless you’re very lucky expect a queue. Hope the servers are up to this.
