I very much tend to err on the side of things being understated, visually.
I don’t want anything potentially obstructing my view that doesn’t need to.
Idk I guess it depends what content you’re doing.
Dev spamming the PANTS off of pyre in dungeons/AOE feels pretty dragon-y to me.
Obviously single target has less red flare.
well, I mean I think of something closer to the initial concept of deepbreath, which is a bit reminiscent of Ultimate Penitence. really fly high and burn everyone. it would be poetic.
All I’m trying to say is that Dragonrage does suffer from being a rather boring CD because at base it’s something that only triggers free EBs from both LF and AS and nothing more and gains its only traction and relevance from a singular talent point in the tree that makes our mastery not entirely worthless.
The glaring issue is that it’s the ONLY way that makes our mastery not as bad as it looks but current dev is not encouraged to stack mastery but to play a balancing act with its secondary stats along with fiddling with channel times to maximize DPS.
It would have felt a little better had they not just swapped Imminent Destruction with Feed the Flames again and kill the potential of a red build. All of this while we’re a month away from TWW launch.
Devastation in the longrun feels like it’s going to end up having the Stormblood MCH problem where your DPS is dictated by how good your latency is.
