Can we the get the Shadowlands M+ Cache choice now?

Here it is, I am going to rant. I am so tired of getting gloves out of my chest it makes me want to scream. 7 f****** weeks in a row I have gotten gloves. So I ask can we get the choice for our chest now because it feels really disheartening to push my character to the max and improve my gameplay to get gloves over and over and over and over and over again?

Why do you even waste your time running them anymore? You know the rng will just give you the same thing over and over. At this point why even bother.

I want my KSM

I don’t know what KSM is but is it worth the aggravation.

I liked getting my 4th Belt, it gives me so many interesting choices. The first belt I got was Rank 3 Twilight Devistation. The next 3 belts weren’t Twilight Devistation. See? Options!

KSM aka Keystone Master, requires you to complete every key on +15 or higher. You get rank 4 of a few essences and you get a time sensitive mount reward.

Well might be worth it then, but I would not expect anything the the weekly chest that way no disappointment.

Visions is loving pants for me with garbage traits.

You do know the odds are abysmally low in actually winning the RNG lottery, right? You are at an appropriate ilvl to where you should be capable of clearing 15’s already.

The numbers don’t lie and while the ability to pick a reward out of 3 is better than what we have now, the odds are still not in your favor that the choices being offered will be better. You are far more likely to be picking the “best” out of 3 more or less equally “bad” choices. Then you’ll be back mad that the cache never has anything “good”.

Realize the odds aren’t in your favor to begin with and that the real problem is the multiple layers of RNG that make true upgrades possible is the culprit. What we really need is 2 things:

  1. Reforging back. I agree it sucked back in Cata when we had hit and expertise to deal with but until Blizzard actually balances secondary stats to be more or less equal to each other, math crunchers will find the optimal ones and every other stat will be deemed “bad”. Reforging at least has a way to potentially salvage a piece.
  2. Corruption needs a way to be applied. We can cleanse a piece of gear, but what we really need is a way to take an otherwise good piece and corrupt it. Make it RNG, but at least give us a way to do it (imo costing us a vessel would be an acceptable price).

Being able to apply a corruption, to a piece I would be completely ok with. Hell, they could make it so it could cost Corrupted Mementos. 10k for a r1, 25k for r2 and like 50k for r3 and you can put what corruption you want on it. That would be cool but sadly we can’t do something like that.

I would be fine with a vellum option of taking it off a piece and putting it on another. Or even an option to DOWNRANK the piece I have. I will never be able to wear like 2 rank 3 twilight devs, but a rank 3 and a rank 1 is more than possible.

They won’t do anything like that. Realize that it is NOT in their interest to allow us to control our gear to that degree. They could easily add in some kind of check prior to looting the box to know what piece(s) of gear we want to get, but when we get a piece we dont want, it irritates us but keeps us farming that content to try again next week.

“IF” they gave us a way to corrupt an item, it would be random or have a stupidly high price akin to what it costs to get a specific azerite piece with residium.

They would almost certainly never do this. At best, we’d see a way to get a random effect. The only way they’d allow us to pick our corruption would be something with an extremely high timegated price akin to picking your specific azerite piece from the vendor.

You would still need to roll the corruption though. I am pretty much only getting pants from most of my boxes so it really doesn’t matter WHAT I roll on them because they are directly competing with each other. I could roll 4 pairs of pants with rank 3 expedient and get basically nothing out of it right now.

That doesn’t matter. A player having control over something that is already SUPER lucky removes a huge time metric Blizzard can exploit. This isn’t me even being cynical about it passively against them. I just understand the role corruption plays and what their objectives are as developers.

Back in the bad old days, gear was locked behind raid bosses. The only RNG factor was did it drop this week (and then if you got it, but that was a social limitation and not a game one). A player could be decked out in no time and be “done”. The hopes was, of course, these players fed the gear stuck around and helped the guildies all get geared up too, or they just split gear around to keep everyone chasing upgrades (though it was far more common to deck your tank and/or top performers out).

Given the direction the game has gone, we are far less reliant on guilds deciding we are worthy and instead have our own personal luck…this inevitably means Blizzard has to introduce slowing mechanisms to keep us doing the content that goes beyond “did it drop”.

Corruption being arguably more powerful than the piece itself is means they will keep control of that away from us as long as possible. It’s literally what people (myself included) are looking at first and foremost even sometimes over ilvl even. I know there is like 0% chance Blizzard would even entertain the idea of allowing us to “keep” a good effect to apply to something we deem as better later.

No, it’s much more in their interest to keep us on the gear treadmill chasing the elusive lottery drop…at least until they are ready to roll out the next system that’ll keep us playing.

i think buyable corruption is a possibility.

give it another few weeks or a month. we’re swimming in mementos and sockets already.

I’ve thought it weird they don’t at least test the multiple choice cache before SL.

It’s annoying they have a solution but we won’t get to touch it for a year.

I enjoy getting a new trinket each week.
