Alright, its been about a year now. Can we talk about how utterly terrible this affix is and how it is absolutely contrarian to the entire aspect of Mythic+?
Mythic plus is about fast paced precision based decisions. There are mechanics that cannot be ignored and must be handled at precisely the right time or you may very well wipe. Then you have a mechanic that randomly drops orbs on the battle field, that - if you dont happen to have a CC option available, will supremely buff your enemies, sometimes to deadly levels.
Sure, okay thats a risk reward right?
Well, what about when you rain orbs down on the final boss in priory? Right as she jumps up to phase? So do you lose a player to the unavoidable AOE staying down below to try to stop the orbs? Or do you wipe because the boss now has a stack of 10 because you couldn’t CC any orbs.
All week long stuff like this has been happening. Sure, we can just STOP DPS in a game mode where being as fast as possible is the goal.
I can safely say that absolutely no aspect of the dungeon is improved by this affix. It is not fun, it is not creative. It is nothing but frustration. “low” keys - IE sub 12s are miserable this week to the point that while I could run 4 more on my DK for vault, I simply do not want to.
Its time for a redesign or a removal, sooner rather than later.
