Can we talk about the 110 bracket

This is the Biff Tannen of brackets. I understand twinking, I don’t even really mind it (even if the entire purpose is to grief people), except for one level - 110.

Once you get there, you are treated to lovely situations like this:

(remove the space)

Great Odin’s beard, how is this even remotely enjoyable for everyone else? How does this not constitute griefing? 30+ KBs, 10x the average dmg of everyone else; in any other game this would be more exploiting than anything else.

I’m not saying shuttle twinks to a private island of internet tough guys and anime lovers, but please blizzard, considering this is the experience anyone coming back to BFA will get, fix the damn itemization of twinks for this one level.

people twink for the community, not to dominate everyone.

It is retarded but of course that attracts retards. Blizzard will come along and fix it in 7 months tho so don’t worry.

killing people in pvp is not griefing. i don’t think you know what the word griefing means(it isn’t a word). yes im posting on my twink.
i play a twink for the community many matches end up group of twinks vs another group of twinks. it isnt broken . if you want i can show you a screen cap of me going 12/0 on a non twink and 18/0 on a twink.

not every twink has scores like these this is an exceptional player.
not every twink can get scores like these.
twinking costs alot of time/gold.
we put hard work into our twinks.

gearing the perfect twink can take hundreds sometimes thousands of hours.

there is nothing to fix
if you want a more balanced experience play rated battle grounds!
i’m sorry you don’t like that someone with skill put in work to get results.

sorry for grammar…

A question for you op what exactly would you have blizzard do about this?
im very interested to know!

This guy has got it correct. Most twinks I see never get near that sort of damage.
I happen to know the person you’re talking about, and he actually plays destruction really well.

The whole reason I play 110 is because of fighting people like him. Farming graveyards is boring. Getting into a 5v5 twink battle while the plebs run around and try to help is what makes the 110 bracket the best twink bracket around.

If you ever need help against twinks, you’re more the welcome to send me a message ingame. Mortherad or however you spell his name is nothing the Horde can’t handle

You can probably one shot a fresh 110 with a chaos bolt. That’s fun?

Chaos bolts hit for about 7-13k (mastery lol). The worst geared players are sitting at 17k health. The average leveler is at about 25-30k. Nothing worth crying about.

Na. They do it to dominate.

What skill is there in doing bfa questlines with no xp to get azerite gear and all that?

There’s no skill in dominating fresh 110s.

I think about it sometimes. Gearing out one of my lonely 110s so I can dominate and have a nice easy bg experience where I can wreck fresh players.

I don’t bs myself though, if I do it it’s not for “competitive games” it’s to wreck the not as geared leveler.

If you want actual competition with “skill” as you say, it’s available at 120 in rbgs or arenas. Even random bgs at 120 have enough scaling so people dont get blown up.

It’s ok to want to wreck undergeared levelers. It’s the bs “competition” talk that’s annoying.

a big part of why i twink is the community.
i love when i enter a battle ground and i see a familiar name. whenthis happens my fellow twinks say oh sH&*^ we need to bring our A game.
i love fighting other twinks more than i enjoy fighting plebs.

there have been days when i end up fighting the same horde twink 3 bgs in a row lose the first two figure out what he is about and win the third.
I DO NOT TWINK TO CRUSH LEVELERS.
i do however like leading the levelers to victory and glory !

This is not skill LOL, the damage is so high because he is 1 and 2-shotting people at the GY over and over. Nothing exceptional about that, just overpowered gear. And when you have the potential to do 10x the DMG of average and use that to force people to die in their GY or afk our (which happens a LOT), you are getting awfully close to the griefing zone (if people are getting bans for ganking in war zones with war mode on, then griefing is apparently bannable now - not that I agree).

But there’s no way around that. Even if it’s “I want to fight the other twinks” you have to still get through the levelers. They become just fodder in the twink v twink match.

How is that at all fair to them? They get to be blown up by you and your other twink friends so you can fight each other?

If a leveler is guarding a node, do you just leave him be? Of course not, you delete him with your overgeared twink and move on.

So why not separate twinks if you really only love fighting against them?

i would love to see you replicate this damage.
itemization and knowledge of gear and stat weights is a skill.
i love playing against people like him!

but i also enjoy playing as a leveler in normal gear and smoking twinks.
when a twink starts to dominate it forces people to strategize.
in the many years i have played this game i have won countless games against teams stacked with twinks on pure strategy alone.

have you ever won a game because you had an amazing twink on your team?

who even cares anyway by the time q pops you will already be 111 so in the next bracket or when u do 1 110 bg u will be 111 lol it takes like 15-20min to skip that entire bracket

Awkward but this guy was actually a mage…so… you don’t know him… but I mean, look at your actual comment - you love that you are overpowered and can fight other overpowered people, even if it means half the people playing have no chance and make no difference. You see what the problem there is right

if you think normal geared players don’t make a difference in a battle ground this tells me you don’t pvp much. i think you got recked in a few games and are salty about it.

edit: was the first half of this mages name rick?

re edit:if you read what demonsocks said it says “i happen to know the person you’re talking about he plays demo really well.” i read it as the mage also plays demolition lock.

The 110 bracket is almost exclusively “more twinks is more wins”. If one team has two and your team has zero, you are 90% going to get corpse-camped within 5 minutes.

You can convince yourself that twinking is skill-based, but you won’t convince anyone else.

And the kicker is that once you hit 1750 or so in RBGs, everyone does about the same amount of damage and gearing no longer really matters (as everyone is geared).

But I mean, at the end of the day vets will just level out of it in a few hours, but it is still a complete mess full of delusional people who think gearing lop-sided characters = skill.

In vanilla, Pikaboo was born on Hyjal server. I ran two cruel barbs with lifestealing enchants. I wreaked havoc on the battlefield and did to purely crush noobs. I’m not hiding it. I figured out how to wall jump and one bg, I managed to wall jump over the horde gate going out tunnel. As soon as the bg began, I jumped into the alliance flag room and murdered all 10 alliance. Those naked pukes had nothing on me.

Then boredom sat in. One day, an alliance rogue popped into my bg, Vindicate or something like that. That little gnome rogue kicked my teeth in. I was a terrible player running around in good gear. After several games against this rogue, I realized, he outgeared me. I went back to thottbot and looked for better gear. I found it and went after it.

I then could fight toe to toe and had some amazing matches against this little gnome. A couple weeks passed and this little gnome started multiboxing with a human pally named Twobox(sp?). I couldn’t even get close to taking the pair down.

I remember begging in trade chat for more people to create 19 twinks to help take this duo down. One day, this other rogue with an x in his name zoned into the bg. I was amazed. I saw the twinked duo on the scoreboard and suddenly I felt like we had a chance. A beautiful game that was. We smoked the multiboxer twerp. He could alt tab fast enough before we overpowered him and took him down.

Not long after that, an ally warrior joined him.
Then we gained this bear druid that had a crap ton of health.
Then they gained a hunter.
My brother created a warrior… Apocalypse

More twinks were made.

Right at the release of BC, we had our first 10v10 twink battle and it was honestly the best day of my wow life. Looking back I laugh because of the lack of abilities we had and we were basically just running around auto attacking each other. But we tried to pull off so much strategy in those little games.

Healturd was born. My belf priest. I made him to heal my fellow twink brethren in bc. We lacked healers yet saw the need to have them… No one just wanted to do it. I could partner with this near bear twink and we would never die running our flag. There wasn’t enough cc to stop me long enough for them to eat through his mega health pool.

Then real life happened and I had to grow up and get a job to pay for gas, women, and school. When I came back, my twink brethren were all gone and I put my twink days behind me.

The end.

Awkward but you highlighted two people, one of which was a warlock. The best player was a mage, and I honestly havent seen any good alliance mages. Rickjamez is the only good mage I’ve seen in the bracket and he’s horde, but I guess he could be running merc mode.
