Can we talk about Slice and Dice?

…why is this still in the game?

Rewind back to a few expansions ago, Slice and Dice was actually REMOVED from rogues for awhile with the devs saying “we felt like it wasn’t rewarding and created a bad and unintended gameplay mechanic” - referring to how the ability feels like a chore that you have to do BEFORE you can actually play your character.

We also had Savage Roar, a similar ability but for feral druids, who BY THE WAY later got the ability to talent into a passive form of it, less effective but made the class more approachable. Savage Roar has since been completely removed and for good reason.

And yet, despite the devs saying all that and agreeing with the playerbase on Slice and Dice, they brought it back. No explanation as to why, they just did, and they keep enforcing it in EVERY SINGLE rogue spec.

Why? Why is there not at least a talent choice node or something where you can get a passive version of it, even if less effective? It’s important enough that you can’t play rogue without it as it is, not even close. It’s MANDATORY. And yet it’s nothing but a headache that the default UI doesn’t even track properly.

Why does it exist? Why not make the class more approachable to literally everyone by just removing that crap out of the game? Why did you bring it back?

I’m with you, I hate that ability.

Yeah exactly. It doesn’t feel like a buff. It just feels like it brings you up to 100%.

Rogue is a class stuck in cataclysm class design.
It needs a complete overhaul. the class play numbers tell it all
