Can we stop with RNG events

Seriously, it’s just bad. Some people will never get the item they want because RNG is friggin stupid.

Just make the event mobs drop tokens, or add a daily quest to kill them for tokens and add a vendor so we can target the item(s) we want.

Because players will want that for all content and devs will never eliminate RNG.

I feel this sentence would have been more humorous if you were to slip just one more “tokens” in there.

Just make the event mobs drop tokens, or add a daily quest to kill them for tokens and add a vendor so we can target the item(s) we want and buy them with tokens.

I am all in for this. I somehow angered the rng gods years ago and I am still paying the price for doing so.

I am the reason I can’t have nice things… :frowning:

What makes it worse is this is a 1 time event. There is no “Next time around”

What’s the loots everyone is after?

I agree. This is already a limited time event, and the boss only spawns on the hour. Why add RNG on top of all that?

It is fair that players can miss out on rewards if they don’t participate. But, I don’t understand the logic of making players miss out on rewards even when they participate.

I primarily wanted the disc mount, since I like silent mounts and don’t have many.
I got it (and the belt mog) on my first and only kill last night.
Now I’ll try getting the 36 slot bag on each character, the tabard and the… hearthstone lol.

that’s a good point. that is for the people that like gambling. those of us who don’t are just gonna be like “eh, i’m not gonna bother”

What u mean, the whole game is a gamble, if people dont like RNG they mind as well play something else

ooooo I may have to check this thing out.

Because it’s a FOMO Lottery Scratcher event.

There are zillions of people that won’t get whatever it is they’re offering simply because they showed up a week late.

Think of the millions of players that haven’t got whatever was dropped way back in Vanilla. Or in any of the other limited time events, like at the end of the expansions. There are people play today that were not born when the game started, and will never get those items.

And it’s OK. It’s the way of it. It will always be the way of it. Nothing is guaranteed.

Always remember, they can pull the plug on the game tomorrow and not only will the items from this event will be gone, all of the items from every event will be gone.

Never forget, ALL OF IT is on borrowed time. Some of it is just knowingly shorter than others.

I said that it is fine if players miss out on things if they weren’t there.

But, if the players participated in the event and still missed out on things, it is very strange to me. Token/vendor system would be more fair since players can participate as much or as little as they want for the event rewards.

And yes, all these things are virtual and can be gone tomorrow if they pull the plug. However, the experience while it is live gives us memories to remember. So, why not let players have good memories rather than “I farmed the boss many times during Hearthstone event, but didn’t get the things I wanted”?

you choose which memories you create. if doing X makes you miserable, don’t do X. blizzard is not responsible for your memories.

Whoever said anything about being miserable?

I am simply pointing out that RNG rather than token/vendor system was a dev’s choice. And I do not see the point of them making the event pure RNG, unless devs intend some people to not get stuff they want even if they farm.

If it’s like the d4 event, everyone will get everything they want as long as they spend a few hours this week farming portals
