I’d love to see world quests phased out while on a campaign quest in the area.
Example: The sandworm WQ overlaps with the Chapter 7 desert portion and it’s beyond annoying.

Why would we want that? It made the campaign and the world quest super quick and easy to do.

that is the most immersion breaking idea possible. getting lost in a side quest is the beauty of an MMO world.

Hopefully they will do better in the future than that mess they made in Hyjal where Legion and BfA quests clash making both undoable.
I was sad when the sandworm quest finished. I was using the combo to farm mawsorn hulks. They were super easy to kill with both up.

Getting auto-accepted quests ramrodded down your throat is immersion breaking.
so finish the side quest and then accept the campaign quest.
I don’t mind it, it can be annoying though but not game-breaking.
I got phased (I guess?) and couldn’t turn in the campaign quest because it was right on top of a WQ. I clicked the WQ to see if I could untrack it or something if it would help, and it showed the option to abandon.
When I clicked abandon it abandoned my campaign quest.
I just logged. lol

I held on to quest turns in for this. What else can I do with a surprisingly useful gang of robots up in here.

I took my main to finish up their last 2 Coves an it felt like everywhere that Story Quest took me there was also a WQ there so I spent half the time doin the worthless WQ by accident lol
lol havent heard of the saying “killing two birds with one stone”? or do you literally take quests and complete them one at a time?

Why? I often am able to kill two birds with one stone this way. Very convenient, sometimes you get helpful NPCs to take out the same/similar criteria because its all in the same area.
I was too! Sadly nothing dropped. 
I did them both together and didn’t have this problem at all.
Well that’s awesome. Unfortunately I had to do it on my own account, and did encounter it. Shucks.
