I’m just so tired of seeing iconic spells and abilities getting removed from specs to shoehorn us into one thing and one thing only.
Marksmenship to go from having a pet to not having one? like not even the choice? did we really need it to get so bad spells like murder of crows and direbeast are just…non existent to MM hunter? I’m sorry but casting VOLLY on single target for damage isn’t giving me the class fantasy of a marksmenship hunter… One of my fav specs and slowly I want nothing to do with it. (I lost my survival hunter completely)
Bladestorm, my favorite spell every to use gone from fury? couldn’t you have reworked it to fit into the rotation better?
Auras gone from dk’s? and not being able to use dots outside of our ‘‘specs’’ themed dot?
Right now if rogues didn’t go full outrage both outlaw and sub wouldn’t even HAVE poisons anymore for their weapons!
why do our classes feel like downgrades from what they were 10 years ago?
I promise that having some class fantasy isn’t going to ruin a spec, we’re more then just our spec guys…
I can relate to this, when we lost Long arm of the Law as a ret paladin I felt soulless and it took years to get over it. I’m still not over it, I just have to accept divine steed. I loved ret back during MoP. I’ll never forget that era.
First of all, I’m fine with MM hunters not needing pets. Gives them some uniqueness honestly. I play MM for the fantasy of a ranger sniping targets from tree top. Hitting targets from long distances. I shouldn’t need a pet to do big damage for me. Just my bow. Or gun if you go that rout.
I think that is fine, but it should be a option, not a requirement. And even then we should still have access to ‘‘pet’’ talents like murder of crows we’ve always had.
I get wanting that. But it would lead to a lot of ‘Well this pet does more damage why don’t you have it out? What do you mean you don’t use pets. How dare you play your way.’
Either way only Blizz knows what changes they’ll make to which class.
I mean, you absolutely can. go beast mastery and don’t take the talent that brings out the 2nd pet. then avoid talents that revolve around dire pack and focus more on other talents.
