Can we still not solo Legion Assaults?!

Trying to knock out this (obnoxiously time-gated) Legion class mount and I’m at the quest that requires completion of an Assault. After waiting for one to be up (because god forbid we don’t just have one going all the time so players working on old content can just get it done), I went to do it this morning before work (it ends in three hours so I can’t do it when I get home ) and I find I can’t finish it because apparently I MUST queue for the end bit and we all know how long that’s going to take.

Blizzard, please have more respect for player’s time. We have lives outside of your game.

It took me less than five minutes to queue for it last month.

Did you even try?

Generally I agree with you. If something is Legacy content, usually you should be able to solo it - especially when it only requires a group of three in the first place.

Honestly though, I’ve ran every class through the class campaign for the mount and I can’t recall ever sitting there for more than ten minutes waiting for the queue. I should add that I skipped Legion (shame on me) and only began doing its content at the end of BFA 8.3 and didn’t finish up all the class campaigns until December 2020 - so I had to deal with similar queues like yours, with Legion being old content.

I did, and after 10 I decided I couldn’t wait any longer and left.

Obviously part of the problem was that I was doing this at 8am…shame on me…oh wait I couldn’t do it at a normal time when most people were playing because the Assault wasn’t up and will be closed before most of us get home.

Either try at a normal busy time or be more patient. 10 minutes isn’t that long. There are more assaults that will be up. Patience is a virtue. This game is a marathon, not a sprint.

I don’t know that they can make it solo queue, since players at level 45 can queue for them. Maybe they can eventually figure out how to have the NPC give you two options for queuing, but if they do that, it would screw over lower level players who need a group.

I’ve never had to wait more than a few minutes when doing these but I probably did them at busier times. I agree they should be soloable though. When you go back and do them on a 60 you’re basically soloing them anyways when lower level players are in your group.

I agree it should be legacy and solo-able

That said i did it on my war because i thought itd give good rep (spoiler: it doesnt) and the q popped pretty quick

See previous comment about respect for players time and schedules. Most of us aren’t awake or available for many of the Legion assault times, and last I checked I’m still on a North American realm so I don’t think I’m being unreasonable here. Also, this is old content. It is a sprint; current content is the marathon.

They respect everyone’s time with the implementation. We went through this complaint during Legion with people who don’t understand how those assaults change the zones, make quests unavailable to do until the assault is over, etc.

Yes. You are. This is a worldwide game. They’re not tailoring assault times to your personal time zone.

That’s not how MMOs work.

As I said and you ignored:

tbh it should just be soloable for lvl 60’s

Which causes less people in the queue for lower levels, meaning they’ll have to wait forever to get groups. It’s a tricky situation. On one hand, it makes sense to have a solo queue. But on the other hand, we screw over lowbies. :woman_shrugging:t4:

This doesn’t follow the holy trinity of requiring tank/healer/dps. They grab the first 3 players in line and form a group, then the next 3 people and form a group, so on and so forth. Takes a few minutes (10 tops depending on the hour of the day) to get into said queue and start running it
